Namco Museum Essentials provides precisely what the name implies: a handful of iconic, still-fantastic games with a slick social wrapper to keep them relevant. Simple as that.
-
Overall, it's a very worthwhile package and one that you won't regret picking up.
-
72The presentation here is top-notch, which is really what makes or breaks the package for me. However, it kind of sucks that there isn't support for two players in most of these games.
-
70Ultimately, Namco Museum Essentials is a group of old games available for $10. Namco did a great job of assembling the package but not enough effort was put into updating these classics and making it a must buy.
-
The inclusion of Dragon Spirit and Xevious Resurrection keep things feeling fresh, but they're not substantial enough to get gamers excited.
-
Namco Museum Essentials is exactly what it says it is – a collection of 5 oldschool games and 1 remake. For this kind of money I would either like to have more classics or a few remakes, not a mix of the two. Thumbs up for the stamp system and online score boards, though.

60Most of the games in Namco Museum Essentials are plenty dull to play. [Issue#193, p.103]
-
58It's a solid port of something we've seen a hundred times already, but still worth playing.
-
Definitely avoid at this price. [Aug 2010, p.101]
