With solid, fast paced gameplay and an excellent presentation that's easily the best the series has ever had, NBA 2K10 continues its strong pedigree of great basketball.
  2. What this fast-paced basketball game lacks in depth, it makes up for in fun.
  3. NBA 2K10 is a fantastic, fun, and deep representation of the NBA experience. While it may be too much for a very casual basketball fan looking for an arcade experience and instant gratification, 2K10 will certainly appeal to longtime fans.
  4. My Player mode’s uphill struggle may not appeal to everyone, but the outstanding presentation and best-in-class Association mode make NBA 2K10 the best basketball sim.
  5. While NBA 2K10 may not be quite in the title picture, it's definitely ready to jockey for a playoff spot.
  6. The biggest difference between 2K9 and 2K10 is My Player mode. It's yet another new take on a single player version of the game, and it adds a layer to what is already an high-octane version of basketball.

NBA 2K10 is an excellent basketball game that's full of nagging technical problems. It's a shame that some players probably won't be able to look past the inconsistent frame rate, online issues, and A.I. quirks, because NBA 2K10 does many things very, very well.
  8. It isn't the perfect game yet, but the changes in gameplay are right, and the extra mode MyPlayer works very well.
  9. Ultimately, the frame rate and online issues transform what could have been an incredible game into a very good game.

2K10 retains its crown as the best pro basketball game on the market, albeit just barely.
  11. Great graphics, amazing gameplay and awesome value are the key words in NBA 2K10. This is a game franchise that improves every year.
  12. A great, but not perfect game.
  13. Loyal to the game of basketball in every possible way. There are more offensive options than one can even imagine to use and new defensive controls are a great addition. My Player mode is the best career mode in sports games so far. However, there are some issues with camera angles and a couple of awkward glitches that need to be fixed. [Nov 2010]
  14. For sure the developers invested a lot of time in this game, but the result is more average.

NBA 2K10 contains enough new features and improvements and has therefore become an interesting title.
  16. This is a very well rounded basketball game, made by and for fans of the sport. The countless details and different facets of the sport are perfectly recreated in the game. The graphics are insanely realistic, but the frame rate suffers sometimes because of it. Still, this is the best basketball game of this season.
  17. It's still number one - barely. [Dec 2009, p.122]
  18. 2K's still doing its job properly, just as it has to be done. The latest edition of the basketball sim has improved in every aspect of the gameplay mechanics, but's still suffering some lame player animations. With plenty of gameplay modes -including online, my player, real NBA stats...-, this year's version is one of the best sports videogames that we've played so far.

There's so much more that could, and should, be done in a year's time. [Issue#186, p.80]
  20. This one looks a little better, the commentary is definitely better, the online and multiplayer (in my experience) was a bit more fun, the movement physics are more authentic, and the many features and options are on par with Live. But the occasionally iffy control, very questionable AI, and significant balance issues makes me give the nod to EA.
  21. It's tough to choose between this and NBA Live 10, but in this reviewer's opinion, NBA 2K10 wins at the buzzer.
  22. The best b'ball game of the season, but still not perfect. [Christmas 2009, p.90]
  23. 2K10 makes some great strides in presentation this year with fewer changes in gameplay.
  24. Creating new players with your buddies and forming online crews to play five-on-five matches against other crews is cool. [Dec 2009, p.74]
  25. The best basketball you can buy, and a great effort for 2K’s 10-year bash. [Christmas 2009, p.77]
  26. NBA 2K10 has been improved on a couple of points in comparison with is predecessor. The My Player mode is a lot of fun, the defense mechanics has improved and the players conditions are much more realistic...There still a few bugs in the gameplay, like players defending the wrong player. And Visual Concepts, please bring back the online lobbies, please?
  27. So with an incredibly polished game like this, it is no wonder that NBA 2K10 still holds its own against EA’s juggernaut.
  28. Another year, another solid effort from 2K Sports. NBA 2K10 maintains its dominance of basketball video games once again, and the developers are clearly not resting on their laurels.
  29. If it wasn’t for some issues we mentioned in the review, this could have easily been the best basketball game ever. Next year maybe?

This part hasn’t really changed with the last one. The gameplay is almost identical (and that means good). The biggest difference is the public that looks almost real. Only the menu is a little bit annoying.

Coming from a person that doesn't enjoy sports games that much (mainly because i think that they are the same game each year,) I had a lot of fun with this. It is very realistic and fun. There are many game modes. Some i still haven't touched because i have been playing the other game modes. First of all there is your everyday exhibition game. The gameplay works well with very few glitches. There were a few instances where there was some slow down but this does not happen a lot so it is not a major problem. The season mode is pretty self explanatory. You're a team that goes through a season or two. The weird thing, and i didn't notice this until halfway through the season, the other teams will accept any trade offer unless you turn the setting off. Overall this mode works well and this is probably where you will spend the most time. Then there is the my player mode. You create a player to try to make an NBA team. This is all good in theory but there are some major setbacks. You can call for one pass and it will bring down your game grade for excessive pass calling. It is also very hard to make your player good. It takes awhile but after you make your player good, you are going to be on a team in no time. Full Review »

It is fun to play as your favorite NBA team to compete with, but the real fun begins when you create your own NBA player and make him the best player ever. Full Review »

This game is very good. I've also played NBA Live 10 and I can tell you this game is much, much better than NBA Live 10. The My Player mode is great, The only problem is the online. Full Review »
