  1. A dazzling array of showmanship, visual glitz, and a hefty dose of fun make this an absolute must-play.
  2. This game bursts with one brilliant design decision after another - including a Gamebreaker power-up system that is, finally, perfect. [Mar 2007, p.86]
  3. NBA Street Homecourt is pretty much a no brainer for anyone looking for a fun exaggerated game of hoops.
  4. EA Canada has made the gameplay tighter and more intuitive, improved the graphics significantly, and got together a killer soundtrack.
  5. Sure, it’s an arcade-style game, but you will invest time with the career mode and the gameplay is fluid and fun, the graphics are wonderfully realized and the control scheme is easy to understand.
  6. It's visually impressive, features a great deal of gameplay, superb online features, a masterfully done soundtrack, and a ton of replay value. NBA Street Homecourt comes highly recommended.
  7. With so many options, there is little in the way of basketball that this game doesn't offer and it rightfully deserves a slam-dunking genius award. [Apr 2007, p.61]
  8. An excellent arcade-sports title that knows no equal on next-gen consoles. It's more user-friendly than ever, has a killer single-player mode, and the advent of its online play will only make you keep it cemented into your PlayStation 3 that much longer.

The best arcade basketball game out there but just falls short of being legendary.

The Trick Remixer and new Gamebreaker system will have you jumping out of your gaming chair...IGN officially gives NBA Street Homecourt "mad props."
  11. While all these features give Homecourt the depth it needs, the real revelation here is something that's hard to describe in words: it just feels right. [Mar 2007, p.99]

This game was the first game i bought(with my ps3)and i have played the game since. I'm going to rate the game in 5 categories and the grades are for 2007 not 2011 ps3 games so it's fair. 8.5 Presentation The menus are pretty solid and good and the videos of the nba players when they played in the street when they were young and their stories are good. 8.5 Graphics The graphic is very good for the time when the game came out. 7.5 Sound The sound is good but not great. 8.5 Gameplay Very fun and easy to learn system but can get repetitive if you play the game many hours at a time. 8.5 Lasting Appeal The feature set could be a little meatier, but you have a fun and good game modes. The campaign is fun and you can recruit NBA players to your crew and make your own player with some kind NBA player face blender and choose the players hometown, name and skills. Overall pretty solid and fun game: 8,5 overall so I'll lower it to 8 because of the system here Full Review »

Honestly was just about the only good game I had on PS3 until I got Cod 4 at the end of 2007. A surprisingly addictive game that really was the only game that had me playing PS3. Resistance and Motorstorm were decent but really this basketball version of FIFA street was very satisfying and even though it may be a little short lived, it was undoubtedly a fun, well presented experience with good graphics. A few years later and now the PS3 has a myriad of fantastic multi platform and exclusive games, but back at it's sub par beginnings this was the best game you could own on the console. Full Review »
