  1. Sporting a beautiful look and feel and more modes than you can shake a stick at, it’ll cure your football fever all season long.
  2. NCAA 08 is more fleshed-out than its predecessor and by being so improves on the key complaint against that game.
  3. It's nice to see such a strong effort come forth from EA and I only hope they keep this kind of intensity in the future with their other franchises as well. NCAA Football 08 is a must buy for any fan of the grid iron.
  4. For all that it does right, perhaps it’s telling that this series has improved its presentation off of the field, while still lacking some of it on the field. It’s these kind of intangibles (and those above) that need to be addressed to unify all of NCAA’s elements – as well as some of them are done – to create the ultimate college football experience.
  5. Even though a lot of what's new is a bit rough around the edges, NCAA Football 08 is a great game with a lot to offer.
  6. Playstation Official Magazine UK
    A slow-burner that rewards dedication. [Oct 2007, p.100]
  7. An example of misappropriated resources. The things that weren't broken have been changed, and lingering issues have gone untouched. With that said, there's plenty of game here.
  8. A solid production that delivers several gameplay surprises and innovations. And we give credit where credit's due. Just fix the damn frames per second conundrum, EA!
  9. 78
Running at 30 frames per second and only 720p makes this a graphically inferior title to the 360 version of the game, which is truly unfortunate, since the game is quite good otherwise.
  10. Suspect AI decisions can make for a frustrating experience, though. The controls are fine, but the SIXAXIS is not well used.
  11. PSM Magazine
We witnessed serious hitches in the framerate that oddly enough actually impacted the gameplay. [Nov 2007, p.85]
  12. I just wish that it looked a little nicer, and there was more depth of gameplay added to the Campus Legend mode.
  13. Knowing the Xbox 360 version looks (and plays) so much better, it’s tough to get excited about this game on a $500 console.

Very good game for fans of college football, yes there is room for improvement but the game is fun none the less, a must have for sports fans.

I agree w/ what a lot of ppl have said about this game. I know what to expect with NCAA; it seems EA never comes out with greatness -- just I agree w/ what a lot of ppl have said about this game. I know what to expect with NCAA; it seems EA never comes out with greatness -- just the same stuff. I hate how I have no time to throw the ball, even against 1-AA teams. I hate it when I throw a ball right to a defender he drops it, but when i throw it way out of his reach the defense makes insane catches that are so unrealistic. I hate how my team averages 4 fumbles a game. I can't qb sneak on third and inches becuz i'll fumble. Just takes the fun out of it. Full Review »
