  1. If you are a paintball fan, you should definitely take a look at this game. It´s all about strategy, but not pure action.
  2. In the end, NPPL Championship Paintball 2009 is exactly what it advertises itself as – a paintball game made for paintball fans.

It’s easy to see how paintball enthusiasts could love this game, but hard to envision anybody else spending more than an hour playing it before they got bored and disillusioned. This is a niche game and it does a nice job catering to that niche, but doesn’t provide a product that the general gaming audience will appreciate.
  4. NPPL Championship Paintball 2009 is a bad game overall. AI issues contribute to the problematic gameplay; controls are serviceable, but the graphics and sound fail to inspire.
  5. Playing online with human opponents adds a bit of longevity to the experience but ultimately NPPL just gets monotonous far too quickly.
  6. It's an awkward fudge, and compared to the full sex that is "Call of Duty", feels like five minutes of unsatisfying over the sweater action. [Feb 2009, p.99]
  7. A non-commercial license that's been turned into a terrible monster without hardly any positive traits. The cynics within us think that this game was the reason why the entire league broke down.

I by all means am not a "intense gamer". But I am a avid paintball player/ fan, when I started playing I was not let down even after reading the reviews ( that were not made by people who truely play or enjoy this sport). Yes like every game out, there are things that could be fixed/ tweeked. Perfect for when you can't get out to your local paintball feild. Its a fun game to the true paintball player. Expand
