I'm sure this might be a good game but any game that has you sat there for 15 minutes just clicking and reading a story instead of playing will not go down well with me.

This game may be unique and aspects of it may be fun.
But there is one design decission that makes me detest that game: The UNSKIPPABLE and ENDLESS LONG intro and cutscenes. Why can't I speed those up? Look at one of the Let's Plays and decide if you have the patience to even sit through the intro.
    And this CRAPPY ROBOTIC voice.
Now just the length of the intro borders on torture.
    On
my first try I shut down the PS3 because I could endure it no longer. And at this time I did not make it into the game.
And you can't even leave the room and do something else while the annoying robot voice goes on for 20 minutes because you have to button mash X all the time to proceed. But you can't speed it up!
After that it's fun for some minutes. Until the next cutscene arrives.
    So Gameplay wise: 9
    Tedious Cutscenes: -10
Average of all considered points: -0.5

Still, for every demon slain, more beauty is restored to the land, as gorgeously rendered-flowers and wildlife spring up from the scenes of battle. And the wildlife that roams Nippon not to be feared, but rather fed, in sickeningly cute cutscenes.

Okami HD is the definite version of the classic adventure. It is an amazing feat for a six year old game to look better than most of its recent rivals. A true classic, filled with emotion, adventure and laughter. [Feb 2013]

If you haven’t played Okami before on PS2 or Wii, you’re in for a unique journey unlike anything you experienced in front of your console. [CD-Action 02/2013, p.67]
