  • Summary: In Okami, the player takes the role of the mythical sun goddess Amaterasu, in the form of a wolf. Her task is to restore color (or 'life') to the world by destroying the monsters who have stolen it. Since Amaterasu is a diety, there are naturally people who worship her and people who don't. The more people who worship her (as a result of her restoring color and doing other good deeds for them), the more powerful she becomes. Expand

Playing Okami HD is a joyous experience, but it is sad to see that after six years it is still one of the best examples of its genre. Okami HD is fantastic, and hopefully this re-release will inspire a new generation of game designers to play, enjoy and then scoff, "Ha, I bet I could do better".

Overall, Ōkami HD is an experience that should not be missed. It's stylized graphics and engaging gameplay really show that this game was ahead of its time with its initial release. Old and new players alike owe it to themselves to download it and either relive the adventure, or experience it for the first time. With its updated visuals and awesome gameplay, this is one that should not be missed.

At $20, Okami HD is one of the greatest gaming values of 2012, representing the greatest and largest Zelda-like adventure to not come from Nintendo. It's been updated beautifully and features strong, complementary use of the Move technology.

The true vision of the creators has seemingly been realized, in glorious 1080p high definition.

  1. There is a reason those 2 neg reviews have not said anything. They can't possibly tarnish this game without the world knowing they are trolling.
Gameplay: 10 - The pacing is amazing, the combat is different then any other game and works beautifully, you gain rewards often and none of them are too powerful or underwhelming. Combat flows well, puzzles are rewarding.
Graphics: Beautiful, different, a treat for the eyes.
Sound: Sound effects are great and music is insanely well matched to the game.
Entertainment levels: At maximum! The game is very fun with a lot of side quests to keep the player busy and entertained.
Worth the money and so much more.

  2. A game that had pretty graphics and great music when is released on the PS2 in 2006. It was beautiful on the Wii in 2008. And now with stunning HD graphics on PS3. The game always had good controls ( well not so much on the Wii ) awesome gameplay and most of all epic story and very lovable characters although the brush mechanics can get a little repetitive and annoying and there are many typos in the dialogue it is a great game Expand
  3. This game has a LOT of lines of text you need to read, but has no voice-overs. I also feel it drags on for way too long. The story could've been told in 20 hours, and it's only 40+ hours long because of the 'filler' material. Expand

I'm sure this might be a good game but any game that has you sat there for 15 minutes just clicking and reading a story instead of playing will not go down well with me. Expand
