Finally an anime game which doesn't only use the franchise name to call attention. One Piece: Pirate Warriors looks great, it's fun and provides the whole One Piece Experience, starting with Ruffy's fight against Buggy.
The gameplay is deliberately kept simple, but offers enough depth to sink your teeth in. A combination of light and heavy attacks doesn't surprise anyone any more, but Luffy and his buddies move in such an enjoyable way it kept us entertained. [October 2012, p.74]

Un muy buen juego, tiene secuencias de botones que apretar en cada uno de los escenarios si juegas el modo historia, lo que le da una dinámica entretenida al videojuego, puesto que tiene similitud con cosas que pasan en el anime/manga, tiene un set de personajes algo escaso, pero suficiente para ser el primer título de esta saga de juegos, muy divertido para los seguidores de esta serie.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors is a fan's dream, until they encounter the boring combat and one-dimensional gameplay. It's one of the better 'Musou' titles out there, but this style of beat-em-up needs some renovation.
For a Musô-inspired beat'em all, this On Piece will probably delight the fans of the manga. Visuals are top-notch in terms of cel-shaded fidelity, boss combats are epic, and the gameplay solid enough, except maybe the QTE sequences which, quite quickly, become repetitive and annoying.
More variety in the usual Musou gameplay structure isn't really enough to differentiate this title from other games in a genre that really hasn't evolved at all in years. Developers should really start considering what's wrong with the genre, and try to make it evolve. Pirate Warriors is not the right answer to the problem.
Sadly the repetitiveness of the gameplay, despite team attacks and unlockable special moves, gets tiring long before the charms of the world. And so, ironically, Luffy just doesn't quite have the legs
One Piece fans will enjoy the novelty but only Dynasty Warriors groupies will be able to bear the typically mindless gameplay.
El mejor juego o adaptación de una serie anime! The best anime game!
Porque es sencillamente expectacular, muy fiel a al manga y a la serie, posee gráficos muy buenos, un gameplay genial, etc!

Primera vez que me adentro a la saga Pirate Warriors de One Piece y la verdad me lo pase bien, el juego es entretenido aun que abusa un poco de los Quick times events y pasada una hora el juego se vuelve repetitivo y cansador. Para los que no les llame la atención ver el anime y quieran saber su historia es un buen medio para hacerlo aun que se salta un par de arcos que en el anime son importantes. Juego divertido pero no es para re-jugarlo.

I had a nice time watching One Piece anime. I can even call myself a fan, in some way.
I was waiting for this game just to play for my favourite characters.
Ok, Nice try KOEI. I thought that i saw worst. Crappy platforming mechanics, even crappier locations. This piece of rubbish could be a fail even on ps2. No I see that characters are made almost good. But there are hundres of ways to watch them (more then 560 to be clean).
It is not even funny. I can not belive that developers did not see that they are making crap. Such a great world, so much ways to make a great game (or maby only good).
This one is not bad, it is awfully dull, and dully awfull.

Extremely unbalanced and glitchy, maybe I got one of the first production copies but I don't know how anyone could like the game when it's hardly playable due to bugs.
