  1. It’s engaging, unique, humorous and hugely polished, and earns its place as one of the top original titles on PSN with ease.
  2. Single player gets old after about an 30 to 40 minutes a but with friends, this game is unstoppable. The multiplayer modes really shine and cause so much laughter that everyone wanted to get in a turn just to see what was so funny. The lack of online multiplayer is a disappointment but for a budget title it is understandable and acceptable. You are in for the time of your life when you have friends to play along. It’s value far surpasses its meager cost.
  3. Pelit (Finland)
An excellent and quite amusing group beat 'em up. There's no internet multiplayer, though. [Aug 2009]
  4. 83
This is a game of skill. It won’t get boring as long as you’ve got a worthy human opponent.
  5. Playstation Official Magazine UK
An accessible, and crucially, fun scrapper. [May 2009, p.96]
  6. You'll love Rag Doll Kung-Fu: Fists of Plastics graphics (with many things similar to LittleBigPlanet).
  7. Just a little bit of fun and fast action for little breaks. Compared to the low price this game is ok.
  8. At a $9.99 price point it feels like you're definitely getting a solid game, even if it's missing the online mode that I was hoping to see, and if there's DLC support for the game in the future, then it's a pretty good starting point for the game in general.
  9. Rag Doll Kung Fu: Fists of Plastic is a $10.00 downloadable game that gets most gamers a good looking eight stage beat-em-up that has some similarities to Little Big Planet.
  10. This game is a barrel of monkeys when you have friends over. Unfortunately, the single-player experience is wanting, and the lack of online multiplayer is a shame.
  11. 72
Rag Doll Kung Fu: Fists of Plastic is a really good game for only ten euros. It contains enough humour to keep playing, especially together with some friends on the couch.
  12. Rag Doll Kung Fu: Fists of Plastic is a fun little Super Smash Bros clone that is well worth downloading if you feel like beating up your friends. What it lacks in online functionality it makes up for in variation and fun gameplay. It may be a bit boring if you play alone, but it's fun when three of your pals are around.
  13. 70
It is gimmicky, to be sure, but Fists of Plastic is entertaining and at $10 is a fair price for well done kitsch. Moreover, the simplified control scheme means that in spite of the drunk monkey fighting everyone fights more or less like the same drunk monkey.
  14. Immediate and very entertaining, Rag Doll Kung Fu: Fists of Plastic is the classic game to play with a bunch of friends on the sofa, with a well devised combat system that fits perfectly the Sixaxis controller. Unfortunately there's no online competitive mode and after a few hours is easy to feel the lack of more various attacks.
  15. Rag Doll Kung-Fu: Fists of Plastic is a disappointment in almost every sense of the word. It looks awesome, it plays awesome and yet it feels like a tech-demo and not like a game you just spent 10 bucks on.
  16. Ragdoll Kung Fu: fists of Plastic can be a good game, still having his problems. The Single player “campaign” is too short, and there is no online mode. Considering this, acquire this game only if you want some minutes of pure fun or, maybe, if you have always your house full of friends.
  17. RagDoll Kung Fu: Fists of Plastic is a nice game that can give players hours of carefree fun, but only in multiplayer mode. Fists of Plastic is an innovative beat 'em up, with gamplay good both for novice and hardcore players. Recommended if you love innovation, originality and to play with your friends.
  18. Ragdoll Kung Fu is a witty, charming and frantically fun game that suffers from a puzzling lack of online multiplayer and is perhaps a little bit light on replay potential.

Both refines and expands on the ideas introduced in Mark Healey's adventurous pet project. [June 2009, p.121]
  20. PSW Magazine UK
    It's achingly non-stop martial-art four-player silliness. Sweet! [May 2009, p.85]
  21. Rag Doll Kung Fu: Fists of Plastic is a little Super Smash Bros clone. It’s fun, but only when three of your pals are around.
  22. Rag Doll Kung Fu: Fists of Plastic is by no means a bad game. Some concessions had to be made to make it work on the PS3, but for the most part it's the sort of game that's better on a console to begin with.
  23. This should be a must have game for $9.99, as it is, with a missing online capability, it is a possible have, depends on what floats your boat.
  24. 65
Rag Doll Kung Fu: Fists of Plastic is one of those games that really feels like it is missing online multiplayer.
  25. Rag doll Kung Fu: Fists of Plastic improves on its forebear in some areas but it also falls short in many others. The promised online multiplayer is nowhere to be seen. With a poor and short single player, only the offline multiplayer, funny with three friends, has some interest... and his curious graphic style too.
  26. PSM3 Magazine UK
A decent brawler that lacks features and online play. [June 2009, p.76]
  27. It's clear that the team is trying to provide an accessible, fast-paced scrap-'em-up that can be enjoyed by all the family, not just autistic puppeteers. In that sense, the game's a modest success, offering a shallow but sometimes riotous playpen for up to four players to scrap away in visually interesting ways. But the slightness of the package means that this polished after-pub game will provide some short-term laughs but only minimal long-term nourishment.
  28. Ultimately, Rag Doll Kung Fu comes across as something of a tech demo, the kind of thing you might expect Healey and co showed to Sony executives when trying to get LBP off the ground.
  29. Rag Doll Kung Fu is fun to play with when you got some friends over, but besides that the game doesn't do anything special. The movements are funny, just like the cheesy Kung Fu-jokes. In the end Rag Doll Kung Fu is a shallow and chaotic fighting game, that has neither a decent multiplayer nor an interesting single player mode.
  30. Overall Rag Doll Kung Fu is a really fun game to play, the problem is that it is the type of game you should be playing online and with that option missing there isn’t really much that will keep you coming back.
  31. There just isn’t a whole lot here, and we weren’t enthralled enough to recommend a purchase.
  32. 59
After spending a bit of time with Rag Doll Kung Fu: Fists of Plastic, you may wonder if you accidentally downloaded a mere demo instead of the full game. The challenges are really just a tutorial and the multiplayer game, while fun, doesn't go online.
  33. The visual excellence of this party-oriented fighting game can't make up for the fact that it's just not that much fun.
  34. Walking the line between two genres keeps the game from delivering a satisfying experience on either side.
  35. If you are yearning for a multiplayer beat-em-up, this might satisfy you for a bit. Be warned though: since there is no story, I found the limited appeal is for all but hardcore fighting fans.
  36. Shamefully, Fists of Plastic won’t have you reliving your childhood memories for long, as the tiresome challenges and lack of online execution will have you beating yourself up quicker than you can fling your joypad across the room with dragon-punch shaped irritation.

Haha this game is hilarious. Of course you have to play it with friends. Alone it offers not enough content.

There is not much variety, but the controls are good and the levels are entertaining enough. Getting the 100% of trophies is also an interesting challenge, I could not achieve it. Full Review »
