Graphic adventures have a fairly set audience, and if you haven't liked other games that force you to scan a screen, pixel-hunting for clues, then Red Johnson is nowhere near different enough to change your mind. But fans of the old-school definitely won't find another game like this on PSN.
Red Johnson's Chronicles is a nice and fresh adventure game. Its gameplay's varied, its story OK, and its universe is worth a shot. The only downfalls of Lexis Numérique's Game are to be a little too easy and some tiny shortcomings to get rid of for the sequel.
Could be more polished, and a tough sell at four hours with no replay, but certainly a uniquely crafted experience.
Tough puzzles and grinding point-and-click pixel hunts are the main activities in Red Johnson's Chronicles.

As it stands, Red Johnson's Chronicles feels more like a showcase of style over substance: a demonstration that more adventure games can be made on the PS3 with QTEs and popular CSI-style investigations.
With its clumsy dialogue threatening to ruin everything at every turn, Lexis Numerique's high-gloss offering is a challenge to play - but perhaps not always for the reasons the developers intended.
