In case you haven't heard: Resident Evil 4 is kind of a big deal. With its quick pacing, intriguing narrative and unbelievable graphics, this is one of Capcom's best games. This $20 PlayStation 3 port improves the visuals, adds leaderboard support and introduces trophies into the mix. Come see why Resident Evil 4 remains the best survival horror game ever made!

Resident Evil 4 is still one of the best games of the last generation and one of the best chapters in the series, but Capcom has made almost no effort to reinvest in this title. The mere introduction of the HD doesn't manage to bring up to date the graphics, but the game overall is so good that we can easily override the problem.

If you're not necessarily a fan of the series or haven't yet played Resident Evil 4, this is arguably the best the franchise has to offer, and the slick new look brings it closer to what we've come to expect visually from games this generation. Resident Evil 4 HD isn't a perfect port, but it offers a ton of content for a budget price.

A true killer app when it was released on the GameCube in 2005, Resident Evil 4 was a decisive take on the series, and on the action genre as a whole.

At the end of the day, what you've got here is unequivocally one of the greatest action-horror outings of all time, and an absolute must-have for Resi fans and newcomers alike.

Resident Evil 4 is a 10 out of 10 game. This repackaging of the game is not a 10 out of 10 product. If you already own Resident Evil 4 on the Wii, there is absolutely no reason to buy it here other than the HD-ness, which did nothing for me.

The updated visuals aren't mind-blowing, but they present the best way to return to this already stellar game. If you somehow missed out on Resident Evil 4 when it turned heads on the GameCube, this is the perfect time to give it a download and see what all the fuss is about.

While the opening chapter proved to be a lesson in re-learning how to play, once it all clicked again it became apparent just how much I love Capcom's highly-celebrated game. For me it's easily the best Resident Evil title, and an absolute must-buy for anyone interested in action or horror. Resident Evil 4 remains one of the greats.

This is the game that changed the entire videogame industry back in 2005 on GameCube. Easily the best of the Resident Evil series (although closely followed by RE2), there is no excuse to miss out on this game now that it's at budget downloadable version Full Review »
  2. RE4 was one of the most influential games of the last 10 years and still holds it's own against todays best action shooters. One word of warning though - this remake doesn't offer anything new except the HD graphics so anyone who already has the Gamecube or PS2 version may want to think very carefully about buying this. Still, it's a bona fide classic and a must buy if you missed out the first time around. Full Review »
  3. The High Definition graphics really improves the gameplay and with all bugs and glitches from ps2 version eliminated, makes it a almost perfect game. Resi 4 fans will love the HD version and definatley recommend for those who have never played Full Review »
