"Desperate Escape" brings to light how Jill and Josh managed to escape the Tricell facility by simply battling their way right through hordes of Majini and sub-bosses (most of which have already appeared in the base game). You uncover another untold portion of Resident Evil 5's story: the daring escape of Jill Valentine and Josh Stone. This tale, however, was reduced to a mindless succession of overwhelming survival action, with zombies coming by the dozens every second. The story is almost inexistent, and all you have to do is to kill zombies, look for ammunition and run for the door. And then you do it again. And then again and again. Playing Desperate Escape on the higher difficulty levels is sadistic, as there are no valid strategies to use or methods to develop; you just shoot everything in all directions and hope that your AI partner doesn't go gung-ho on the massive zombie hordes. Oh, but he does. Constantly. Playing with another person is a little more fun, but that doesn't manage to save this bad DLC pack. Full Review »
