  • Summary: Revisiting past plots from the series and exposing Umbrella Corporation's actions, The Umbrella Chronicles features eight playable characters, including Rebecca Chambers, Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine. As seen previously in the Nintendo Wii version the title also features a brand new chapter in Resident Evil history. The Darkside Chronicles plot takes players back to the story of Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield trying to escape the nightmares of Raccoon City, whilst finally revealing the truth behind Leon and Krauser’s feud. Resident Evil Chronicles HD Collection has a full summary of all the older Resident Evil titles with on-rails shooter gameplay, but you need a PS Move to get the most out of it.

If you're a fan of Resident Evil or rail-shooters and you own a Move controller then Resident Evil Chronicles HD Collection is a no brainer.

One of the best on-rail shooters around, with all its limitations, in shiny HD. If you love the genre get it, it's one of the few good reasons to own a Playstation Move after all.

The HD collection brings the on-rails action to the PS3 with zombies and leeches and yeti looking things, oh my! The Umbrella Chronicles and Darkside Chronicles keep you entertained with huge worm looking enemies and zombies. Yes, more zombies. I've enjoyed the majority of the Resident Evil series and feel that this collection is a great addition to any gamer's backlog. It retains the dark, ominous mystery that Resident Evil encompasses in each game and only surrounds you with the story of good versus evil in a world covered in zombies.

Two player co-op works like a dream and allows for quick drop-in drop-out gameplay, something that many rail-shooters seem to forget.

Keep in mind, though, that you'll be able to buy it separately for less within a few weeks, and for people who just want a decent lightgun game, that'll be a better deal in my opinion. That said, neither game is good enough to spend money on unless you're a diehard Resident Evil fan. Even then, there are better ways to blow $30 bucks in the name of fandom, like buying as many of the Resident Evil films on DVD as you can.

After playing it on wii since release, both titles have really improved. I can never go back to the wii after seeing how much better the graphics look. The Wii version has jagged and blurred graphics. This one is crystal clear. If i did not know better id say this should of released on PS3 instead of wii hands down. Awesome game on both platforms, but PS3 version is much better. Expand

Brilliant... Fun 2-player action with decent graphics, excellent cutscenes, and responsive controls. Don't need Move controllers, but hightly recommended. Never played the original games-- only had holes filled in by Operation Racoon City, RE4, and RE5-- so these are a neat way to experience the original storylines. Tons of collectibles to find and well as lots of weapons upgrades. Expand

fãs de RE ou para quem gosta de Shooters no estilo Time Crisis , Virtua Cop e House Of The Dead , é imperdível . Expand

For the hardcore Resident Evil Fan to a person wanting to catch up the Resident Evil Chronicle Collection contains events taking place from Zero to Three in The Umbrella Chronicles and Resident Evil 2, Code Veronica and a stand alone tale that explains Krauser and Leons Relationship which was only hinted at in Resident Evil 4.

The games have being given a great makeover compared to their early Wii counterparts and would be the best of Capcom's HD collections so far with little to no graphical glitches. Move Controls and a Nav pad offer the best experience but one can use a controller if necessary. The lifespan of each game is 7/8 hours but each chapter contains a separate tale involving a different character as well as hidden files in the environment usually unlocked by blasting objects in the environment. My main gripe however is the camera in the Darkside chronicles which adds a bit of drama to the game can hinder in certain situations and the lack of a Platinum is a minor irk as well but by no means a deal breaker. All in all if you want to catch up with Chris and Leon before Resident Evil 6 or fancy a good blast em up light gun game than this is a essential purchase.

Resident evil on rails might sound strange, but it delivers. A lot!

For a resident evil fan this collection was very nice. RE Chronicles works very well on MOVE and its fun to play. There is epic RE moments. One of the bad things in this game is shaking screen in gameplay which makes it difficult to aim. Collection includes 2 games: Umbrella Chronicles and Darkside Chronicles. The darkside chronicles is better in my opinion. Expand
