An astonishing DLC that manages to not only be awful (the worst DLC for SR3 thus far), but offensive as a gigantic middle finger to fans and consumers of the Saints Row series. The missions are incredulously short, shorter than any of the other mission packs at a stunning ~45 mins-1 hour playtime at best, and aren't very fun for the most part (especially the first mission which features a needlessly long, tedious and checkpointless chase sequence). The final mission gives you super powers (super speed, super strength, can shoot hadokens) and is really the only fun part of the DLC. However, like with the alien weapons in Gangstas in Space, you can't use them outside of that mission, which is quite awful, to say the least.
The so-called "return of Johnny Gat" is an absolute lie, as he has been "returns" as nothing more than a re-skinned brute (not even different audio for gods sakes), and serves as a flaming middle finger to the people who supported the series and SR3. The treatment of Aisha, a major character from the first two SR games, could also be said to contribute to this.
The only rewards you get out of this DLC are two re-skinned brutes (Johnny and Aisha) and a Criminal with a horn on the top that doesn't do anything. Stay away from this DLC, it is atrociously bad (making Genkibowl and Gangstas in Space look fantastic in comparison) and an affront to the people who loved and supported the Saints Row series. Get Genkibowl and/or Gangstas in Space instead if you wish, or just about any other DLC would be better really, as they're far and away better than TwC.… Expand
Apr 25, 2012You probably saw this one coming from a mile away, but the latest DLC for Saints Row The Third is pretty over-the-top. Three missions may be a tad limited for the hefty price tag, but these are three great missions. [May 2012, p.87]
