I am still ticked off at Telltale for deviously dumbing down the puzzles in all their games, but the quality, inventiveness and cleverness on display in this episode are undeniable
Ending with a patented twisted ending with a twist, The Tomb of Sammun-Mak is yet another great point & click adventure of the hilarious and bizarre lives of the Freelance Police, to be continued in episode three, They Stole Max's Brain!
The Tomb of Sammun-Mak is a really polished, innovative adventure that adds some brilliant ideas to a too often immobile genre. This second episode of the third season is one of the best ever delivered by TellTale.
Is it possible to beat the previous part? Yes, The Tomb of Sammun-Mak is even better then its predecessor and Tell-tale is erupting with great ideas – hope they'll keep pace till end of the season. [Issue#192]
The puzzles and jokes are well done and, even though the cliffhanger resolution felt completely incidental, I'm definitely looking forward to what comes next.
This retrospective is pleasing, and it doesn't reserve resources to offer new challenges, reinventing itself constantly.
The perfect Sam & Max episode is still yet to be made, but in terms of puzzles this one is hard to beat.
