This is awesome stuff. I couldn't recommend it more highly, especially at 10 bucks, and I'm sure you'll be telling everyone you know the same after you clear the first stage (if not sooner).
  2. As far as beat 'em ups go Scott Pilgrim vs. The Word is a dream come true.
  3. Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is pretty much the perfect Scott Pilgrim game, hitting all the notes that fans of the series and its worldview could want. But for those who couldn't tell an Envy Adams from a Julie Powers (pity them), it's little more than a cute parody game, meticulously detailed, but outdated by design.

i dont know what to say about this game other than I signed up just to review it. I grew up on these games but it isnt so must of a nostalgia pull but rather just a simple and perfectly made GAME. And boy is it fun. At ten bucks, its a steal. I really just want everyone to know how great it is. get the demo and youll see! Expand

Admitedly I only played the demo, but this game is so retro I found myself thinking why bother when I could just be playing Streets of Rage. I get what they've tried to do and they've succeeded, it just does it so well it carries along all the annoying aspects those games had and doesn't seem to improve the concept in anyway. I've never read the comics (and haven't seen the movie) but I am an old gamer and I did used to love the Streets of Rage series, but I couldn't quite figure out what this game did better than a game made back in the 90's did. I'm mentioning Streets of Rage so much because this game felt just too similar, everything from the art, level design and annoying problems. Definitely try before buying, as I think quite a lot of the reviews are looking at these sort of games with rose-tinted nostalgia glasses. Some things are best left as happy memories. Expand

  3. Basically made to cater for fans who speach is like "OMG THIS GEAMS IS SOOOO COOOL LULLLLZZZ" It's a very bad attempt to cash in on the whole Geek Chic Thing going around. Any fan of this should be shot, also if you wear a nintendo belt buckle you should die too. It's a side scrolling beat em up that lacks either depth or originallity. Expand
