This game is one of the few that implements the PlayStation Move controller as it should be, but it's a shame the graphics are poor and the gameplay is extremely simple and repetitive. The concept is cool, but they could have done so much more.

This is one of those titles which catch a franchise and edulcorate it. It is far from being a perfect game, because it have several errors in the control and ultimately is too easy.

Clearly made for younger gamers, The Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest comes with a large number of very simple quests, gaining some thickness only when our character earns all his skills and fights against several enemies at once. The motion detection works well, while the graphics are generally poor.

Aragorn becames the best character in order to tell the most interesting moments of The Lord of the Rings trilogy, navigating between a childish graphic engine and a very interesing gameplay-style. Consider to by it if you're a die hard or if you're curious to find what's new on this Aragorn's Quest.

  7. It's probably a Wii version ported to PS3, and that's a shame. Playing with Move is pretty crappy, but it's fun nevertheless and a new way to bring the Lord of the Rings franchise to the younger gamer.

The Wii version easily gets the nod as the one to get.
  9. Playing cooperatively with a friend as Gandalf can be fun, but many of the quests seem almost pointless and more like mini-games designed to waste time. Low replay value makes it difficult to return to or think of as a "party" game.

The frame rate is embarrassing. [Christmas 2010]

The Move controls work fairly well...but such a blatant Wii port shouldn't be full price and won't impress serious PS3 gamers. [Issue#199, p.97]

Simplistic visuals, easy and repetitive combat, recycled story from many games before – Aragorn's Quest's only plus is testing your abilities with the Move control. [Dec 2010]

If youTerrible game it seems it was made for small children, very poor graphics it looks like a nintendo wii game as the critics say. If you activate a second controller a message would come up saying no co-op available at this time and does not go away unless you turn off the other controller, it has many other stupid little problems that are really annoying and I only played it for 30 min. Can`t say it is great but neither terrible. the game looks ok, the kamera can be frustrating sometimes, some of the quest`s are very fun while others are lame. I like that it is Sam telling the story for he`s kids and when You are playing son of Sam in Hobsyssel it acts as a training when playing again in the story of lord of the rings. I do think this game is good and anyone saying this game is terrible I think are to harsh on the game. Full Review »

Although this game is a beautiful game all around, The fixed camera can be annoying and the story is not very in-depth. Most of the time youAlthough this game is a beautiful game all around, The fixed camera can be annoying and the story is not very in-depth. Most of the time you are running around completing side quests or traveling back and forth to the same area. This can be very time consuming so I advise patience while trying to Platinum this game. This game is VERY easy, Even on hard difficulty there is not much of a challenge. Also, If you have a second controller your friend can jump in and play. Full Review »
