  • Summary: 18 action-packed courses, up to 4 simultaneous players (online or offline), and winning requires much more than just being the best driver. The decisive factor is being the best racer - you must collect the pickups and cleverly use the powerful weapons to catapult your opponents off the track!

TNT Racers is a great little racing title that feels like it's something out a Saturday Morning Cartoon thanks to its goofy tone, lush visuals, and over-the-top action. It's not perfect, but it'll provide you with an incredible amount of bang for your buck.

Those looking for a more serious, sim-like atmosphere will need to look elsewhere, as TNT Racers is all about the slightly off kilter vibe experienced with its tongue firmly lodged in its cheek.
  3. An accessible and enjoyable racer that really hits its stride in multiplayer. [Spring 2011, p.113]

Crazy power-ups, and a variety of exciting tracks make TNT Racers a shallow good time.

A year after it was released on the Xbox 360, Wii and PSP, TNT Racers is making an appearance on the PlayStation 3. Inspired by Micro Machines and other 8-bit driving games, this brand new PSN offers a colorful world and a bunch of exciting (albeit frustrating) races to complete. Too bad the developers didn't spend the year making improvements to an already strong concept!

This is a fantastic game for the price and really brings the old nostalgic feel back to the PS3. The power ups and courses are crazy fun but the multiplayer is where all the sweet action lies. This is a must have for racing fans. Expand

It's the same system as Micro Machines. You have to get to 10 points to win. There is a difference here though, the first car to fall off the race doesn't lose a point. The most fun thing about games like Micro Machines and Mashed is that someone could get to 9 points and then the other people target him so that he loses points. None of that here. It kind of breaks the fun. Collapse
