  • Summary: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen thrusts players into a battle for supremacy across the globe as either AUTOBOTS or DECEPTICONS to drive, fly, fight and blast their way through intense, pressure-packed levels. Delivering more control, players can select from a diverse range of playable TRANSFORMERS - each with distinct personalities, abilities and weaponry - and jump straight into action as they instantly switch between robot, vehicle and weapon modes to fight for the preservation or annihilation of all mankind. For the first time in the TRANSFORMERS universe, players can also fight the epic war between the AUTOBOTS and DECEPTICONS online in explosive, multiplayer combat. Players can take on the role of their favorite AUTOBOTS and DECEPTICONS such as Optimus Prime, Starscream, Bumblebee and Ironhide, along with new characters making their first appearance in a game. With two distinct campaigns that allow players to save or destroy the human race, players can unlock and play missions in any order and with different characters for a whole new experience. Instantaneously convert from a colossal robot to a dynamic land or air vehicle such as a diesel truck, sports car, military chopper or fighter jet. New, ultra-fluid transformations can be performed in-motion anytime and anywhere, allowing players to strategically propel through and decimate hordes of enemies with incredible agility. 1. Like the movie it’s based on, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen isn’t trying to radically change the genre or introduce innovative new features. It’s giving you great-looking robots that go off and fight other great-looking robots as you watch the resulting explosions.
  2. 75
A huge upgrade over the previous movie-based game in the series. So much so that it is almost a shame to keep comparing the two.
  3. Revenge of the Fallen lacks the polished sheen and balance of some of its competitors – its looks are average, and the level design and mission parameters are painfully typical. But when the Transformers themselves are freed from silly plotlines and allowed to stand or fall on their own merits, as they are in the multiplayer modes, their distinct set of abilities make them truly engaging.
  4. If you are looking to play a game to get the experience of multiplayer while not actually being online, this may be the game you’ve been looking for.
  5. The game is better than both the latest movie and the first game, but it gets tiresome to just bash robots for hours on end. However, the control is both easy and advanced at the same time, so kudos for that.
  6. What Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has going for it besides the coveted movie license is a fair amount of missions, the ability to play as both Autobots and Decepticons and the unexpected online multiplayer, which isn’t always a given in movie-games.
  7. It's monotonous during all the adventure, and has lots of bad gameplay decisions that make it very repetitive and dull.

If anyone of you guys don't like the movie this game is based on even though i do like it, then this is like a better version of it. I highly recommend this game to anyone, especially those who do like Revenge of the Fallen. Expand

Although the initial feel of blowing stuff up as a totally awesome alien robot is very satisfying, the poor level design and stale plot makes the game feel basic, short and not an especially thrilling experience. Collapse

I got this game hoping that I could relive the fantastic action spectacles off the movie. How wrong I was, I've always liked transformers but this game doesn't do a very good job with them. Sure its cool that you get to play as your favourite characters like Optimus, bumblebee and Megatron but with combat thats finnicky to use and levels that always feel to crammed, especially if your using an airial character this game just falls. The plot is also very stale and doesn't let you replay the most epic bits of the movie or in the case of the devastator fight, handles them so poorly that there isn't much point. The multiplayer is ok but to get good you have to put more time into this game than it deserves. Expand

I am a huge transformer fan and it pains me to give this game such a low score, that being said the timer destroys any ability to have fun with this game.... the only fun i had was inputting the cheats and playing this game that one day since you cant save with cheats activated.... i would absolutely not recommend this game......
