    There's a ton of content available, but far too much of it is repetitive. That said, if you enjoy leveling up and questing, then there's 50+ hours of it here.

    Combat is solid and dependable, the RPG elements are functional and decently presented, and there is a good 'just one more mission' addictiveness that'll keep you coming back for more if you let its charms sink in.

    Trinity: Souls of Zill O'll doesn't stand out much from the crowd with good reason, as it doesn't do much that we haven't seen before. That said, it features solid gameplay and a pretty long campaign, although more could have been done to enhance the experience.

    Trinity: Souls of Zill O'll is a japanese-style role-playing game might best be described as the evolution of the hack and slash genre. Like Dynasty Warriors series, it is not a great game but just a fun and addictive product. Part of the reason it works is because it uses elements that have already been successful, although several years ago.

    Trinity: Souls of Zill O'll is far from perfect or innovative, but that doesn't means that fans of the genre won't be able to appreciate its fairly good gameplay and its addictive progression system. Hoping that eventually the time of top notch jRPGs will come again, Omega Force's last creation might manage to keep you busy for quite a while.

    Despite its average production and an obvious lack of ambition, Trinity remains a nice and solid game, one, however, that is closer to a beat'em all like Dynasty Warriors or N3 than to a real action-RPG. Most games of that genre have a tendency to become tedious after some time, and Trinity can be no exception : if you like more subtle and narratively rich games, be warned.

    Souls of Zill O'll is overall a good action RPG, combining an interesting storyline with a fun gameplay system. However, it lacks some polish and variety, while the idea of controlling three characters is not fully exploited. At least, the IA does not compromise you and you can trust in their actions, but we would have preferred having a co-op option. Anyway, if you are a fan of the genre and wanna kill hundreds of enemies, you might consider it for buying.

    Omega Force gets some credit for trying to do something different with Trinity: Souls of Z'ill O'll, but the game ultimately winds up being a decidedly average action RPG. It's a lengthy game with lots of combat and decent storyline, but with lots of repetition in combat and in exploration areas, the good cancels out the bad.

    While Trinity: Souls of Zill O'll has a lot of potential in its varied battle system, decent story, and wonderful soundtrack, it falls flat in other unforgivable areas. The repetitive and pointless missions combine with the pointless text-only overflow of dialogue to pad the game two or three times longer than it needs to be. If only the fat had been cut and more variety was offered, the game might have been decent. As is, Trinity is drowning in missteps.

    This dungeon crawler is as long as it is generic, which is a terrible combination for a hack-and-slash game that appears to be a budget PS2 game selling on the PS3 at normal price.

    It's not worth one hour of your time. We couldn't even recommend this game to the most enthusiastic of JRPG fans. The story is a joke, the combat is uninspired, the quests are utterly banal and the characters are about as likeable as deep sea anglerfishes.

    Personally, I wouldn't give this game the time of day, and I happen to like RPGs. However, I'm envisioning Trinity being available for 99 cents a couple years down the line, and some very poor college student may want to grab it because they're bored and can't afford the latest shooter du jour. To those people I say, hey, if you don't mind forgoing ramen for a day, knock yourself out. You'll get a healthy 15-20 hours of kicking around goblins for your money. As for the rest of you, you'll probably be happier sticking with the ramen.

The battle system is very fast paced and fun. The characters are somewhat shallow but do have they're charm. The storyline is kinda basic but its done very well. If you need a RPG fix for the PS3 pick this up. Full Review »

    While the story isn't amazing, it serves well enough to push the action, which is where the game picks up steam, with a co-operate (In terms of interactions between your party, NOT multiplayer, which the game does not have) battle system that will allow you top hop between characters and combine their abilities freely. Combat is smooth enough to make it good, clean hack-n-slash fun.

    It's hard to understand where some of the "professional" reviews are coming from - feels more and more with each passing year as if Western reviews take one look at a niche japanese title, play for an hour, throw some cliches at it, and assume no one will ever notice that they didn't even try.

    It's a really enjoyable game. The fighting is comparable to Rogue Galaxy mixed with the massive battle size of Dynasty Warriors. You're combatIt's a really enjoyable game. The fighting is comparable to Rogue Galaxy mixed with the massive battle size of Dynasty Warriors. You're combat abilities are infinity customizable giving you a wide variety of combos at your hands. Graphically it truly is beautiful. It's like seeing a Grimm's Brother's fairy tale come to life. The down side of this game are the towns, they are menu based; think Final Fantasy Tactics; however, this is a very small downside as I don't see many people complaining about FFTs towns like this. This is also remedied by the dungeons which are never 100% the same the second time you go into them. The environments are very intractable an example is the satisfaction that comes with freezing a horde of enemies in a lake with your ice spells. The difficulty of this game is interchangeable in game. Want it hard start off on hard, but if you find it's too hard just change it. Finally, comes the sound and music; it fits. The soundtrack is a great mix of orchestrative and relaxing contemporary ensemble and the sound effects really take the cake.

    Overall I give this game a 9/10 with hopes that a sequel would improve the small things like the towns and map exploration
