    The challenges can be tough, the multiplayer is fun and the ability to create a team and name its members is an awesome way to get you to care about your squad. Still, this is a lot like the game I played two years ago and suffers from the same, limited lifespan.

    Worms on the PlayStation 3 is a good little game. Its basically a HD remake of the original Worms on the PlayStation with a few new touches like new terrain's to battle in, new speech banks for worms and added online with up to 4 players. The graphics are sweet and cartoony, the sound is good and the arsenal you are given to play with is ok but I wish they'd have the weapons from Worms Armageddon in here (Carpet Bomb; homing pigeon etc). The game has a good challenge mode for 1 player but this game is really meant for playing with your mates. Worms on the PSN is a nice cheap way to get online with your mates and have fun.     I have been a big fan of Worms since Armageddeon rocked the PC so many years ago. That being said, this PSN Store version of the game was a fairly big letdown. There are no pre-made maps, there is no "painting" of custom maps and the game shares a fair number of bugs and glitches that I don't expect from any game at any price. The replay feature often shows a drastically different course of events than what actually happened and it has frozen my brand new PS3 a couple of times. All criticism aside, it is still a Worms game which makes it good for a laugh and makes for a great game for parties. The Challenge mode is enough to keep 1 player busy for hours and the game also allows for multiplayer controller sharing. There is an online multiplayer mode that is sure to challenge you much longer than the Challenge mode. It's too bad I haven't seen any updates to fix the numerous bugs in this game.… Full Review »
