Alteric is a platform game that challenges your skills. However, its inaccurate controls and its visual and sound section are not very positive. We miss innovation.
It is a game with a mechanical mechanics that concerns your lack of art. Those that are not harder to control have been achieved, but they are other things. Alteric is unfortunately a potentially wasted game.
Alteric starts off basic and fun, but it is not for the faint of heart. The between light and dark and the colors of the two worlds do make the game visually appealing. Unfortunately, the lack of content and the game’s physics make this title a hard one to recommend. One particularly difficult stage took me over 200 tries, and almost had me break my Switch in two; maybe the Dark Souls comparison is apt after all.
Alteric had the potential to be a good alternative to the difficult platforming genre. However, the various issues that rise up, from "sliding" off during intricate platforming sections, to respawning on top of a boss for another immediate death, can be very annoying. The skill that is normally required for traversing these difficult platformers goes out the window in Alteric, as the controls and level design work together to make things unfair instead of being challenging. The gravity - and plane - switching features are cool mechanics and it is a shame that they were hampered by the controls.

Summary Jump through boiling lava, run from perilous traps and saw blades, glide and climb through catacombs, fall into the abyss, and overcome gravity. And don’t forget to switch to a parallel dimension in time, because it’s Alteric.
