NBA 2K15 can be considered better than its predecessor, whose quality was already great. It keeps the same excellent technical level, adding some - really necessary - menu design improvements and deeper modes. The MVP of the genre is here.

It may have some online problems at the moment, but it's still the best sports game around. Period. With impressive graphics and a sharp gameplay, NBA 2K15 is still the king of the court.

Another step closer to the perfect basketball game, and this year the beards are so life like, you really will want to stroke them.

The latest rendition of the series does not introduce many changes to the gameplay, but offers so much content, that it’s almost impossible to play it all. [13/2014, p.72]

It's accomplished, accurate and fun, but there are a few underlying problems. Still, purely as a basketball game, there isn't anything out there that's better than this. [Issue#250, p.58]

I wish that NBA 2K15 didn’t have the netcode issues it has. Without them this would be a (pardon the pun) slamdunk purchase for all basketball fans.

NBA 2K15 delivers a solid core basketball experience, particularly with MyCareer mode, which features real-life NBA player voices. But the game ties too much of the experience to its shoddy online component, which sabotages the experience—and even makes the game literally unplayable at times.

The attention to detail is better than ever: player faces, commentary, animations, badges. The soundtrack is the best since 2K10. I've played every NBA 2K since 2K7, and this is the best and most well-rounded game of them all. If only the servers were up and the online games weren't so laggy... Expand

The gameplay is refined and it feel a lot different of his predecessor .I Give the game a 9/10 because of the lack of content on create a player (you can't create a full resemblance of whoever like wwe (THQ/2K) did).
The lack of DLEAGUE mode in myLeague/GM make the rookies development unmeasured.Other than that, the game is a must have. Money well-spend

NBA 2K15 is the youngest Spawn of the Basketball-Simulation dominating series.
It is great, is the best Basketball game out there, it looks great, sounds great and feels great... as did NBA 2K14, 13, 12, 11...
But is there a real leap? A reason why NBA 2K15 is better than 14?... No. The servers and online gaming still failed. The visuals did not improve that much. And just calling the right stick "Pro-Stick" doesn't make the controls any better.
In fact in some ways NBA 2k15 is a step back. For example over the backboard alley oops are a mess and dunks get blocked about 95% of the time.
The truth is NBA 2K15 is the best Basketball game out there but if you have NBA2K14 or 13 there is no reason to leave this one in the stores. I have a feeling 2K is going to make another great basketball game in the fall of 2015. And my feeling is it also is going to be great.

Although sadly, I think this is the last sports game I am going to buy due to the lack of effort the developers put in sports game. It's the same thing as 2k14 except for the menu interface and online is a drag. It may take 10-15 minutes just to get put in a match. Expand

Second revision of my review of this game. It's a great game. Career mode is the best I've seen in a sports game. The player interactionsSecond revision of my review of this game. It's a great game. Career mode is the best I've seen in a sports game. The player interactions and presentation are second to none. I don't play online so I can't comment on that, however, that leads to the reason for the mediocre score.

An online connection is required to play anything other than a quick game. What the hell is that? If I play a single player mode, you better have a damn good reason for requiring an online connection. I can't imagine what that might be. This means that we can play this game as long as 2K keeps the server running. That costs money. Why would they maintain the servers for an old game? It couldn't be because 2K wants to strong-arm us into buying the new version could it? Nah, 2K would never do that.

The career mode deserves a 10 rating, but the online requirement takes too much away from it. It takes the control away from the player. If I buy this game next year, I'm telling 2K that it's okay to make idiotic decisions like that that benefit only 2K, not the players.

I'm not the only one. Keep it up 2K, and a competitor will soon come out of nowhere and bury you. I am not buying anymore games that require online connections for single player modes.
