  • Summary: Octodad: Dadliest Catch is a game about destruction, deception, and fatherhood. The player controls Octodad, a dapper octopus masquerading as a human, as he goes about his life. Octodad's existence is a constant struggle, as he must master mundane tasks with his unwieldy boneless tentacles while simultaneously keeping his cephalopodan nature a secret from his human family. Even when the overall challenge of living a day in Octodad’s shoes bears too much weight, the game is amusing enough to quell most of the frustration.

A joyful experience from start to finish, a must have title for PS4 owners.
  3. Apr 23, 2014
It’s a real gem of an experience and for $10-$15 dollars, depending on whether or not you have a PlayStation Plus account, it’s certainly a game worth spending your time and money on.

Octodad: Dadliest Catch is a game that embraces its craziness.
  5. May 2, 2014
Octodad: Dadliest Catch may not be a triple A game, but Young Horses have been smart enough to make it catchy, with a particularly endearing hero. Unfortunately, Octodad suffers from an imprecise gameplay, a sometimes crazy camera and approximative collisions. It remains a good experience, maybe too expensive though.

Don’t get this until the bugs are patched out.
  7. Apr 30, 2014
Octodad: Dadliest Catch is a case of love or hate. Many will love it for the different experience and because of all the silliness of the protagonist, while others simply will feel they are wasting their time.

I was very skeptical about this game before it came out but I bought it anyway and gave it a second try.

I was very glad I went ahead and
got it as the game is hilarious!

I love the ideas the game has and some simple level designs made it feel like a perfect game, and by that I mean the true meaning of what a game is about... having fun.

It has a lot replay value, I have now completed it and I am wanting to play through it again already.

The only thing I ask is that there is a sequel and its a lot longer then this one was.
I honestly enjoyed it and there are trophies I need to go back and get, I always play through a game once and then I look at the trophies there are to unlock.

Great fun, I was never bored while playing, Please make another one!

I like the game. Simple as that. The game has everything I wished for: humor, crazy controlls and an coop-mode. The only reason why I'm not giving 10/10 is because the game was way too short. That's all. Expand

Great game! So much fun, absolutely hilarious. The controls are difficult but not THAT difficult, and that's the whole point. The only complaint I have is that the game is quite short, just a couple of hours long - but that's better than to water it down just to make the game lengthier. So much charm and decent graphics. The animation sure could be better, but for an indie title from a small team it's OK! Expand

*Haven't finished the game yet but I'm very close*

    - The humor is done splendidly
    - The interaction is very well done, you can
    pretty much interact with everything
    - The grocery store level has to be one of the best levels in a video game, I don't think I've played a game where you can "shop" .. virtual shopping as a requirement (Without menus/talking to a npc) would be a neat idea. :P

    - Graphics are subpar
    - The wife's voice is very irritating to me.
    - The story and game are too short (even for its price)

The game is fun and goofy at times, but sometimes you wanna grab your controller and throw it at the screen cause no matter what you do, his arm or leg wont go where you want it. The game still has its good parts tho; with funny quotes and sayings from the wife to the husband(Octodad). Plus the whole "noboby is aware that he is a octopus" is hilarious in itself. Wait for it to go on sale and buy it then since its only a 3 hour game max Expand

a fun game to play with your friends, this game is more of a goofy game for kids.me and my friends enjoy this game weather we co-operate or not. yet i feel like the game is just a bit to easy and there must be more challenge to it. Expand

Had a great laugh playing Octodad with my little brother. Hilarious game, just far too short for my liking (finished it in an afternoon). The artwork and 3D models are quite inconsistent. Octodad - great 3D model and textures but everything else is a step down in quality (if not multiple steps down for some) Expand
