F1 Manager 22 is a great way to create alternate narratives for fans. Pick your favorite team, try to find ways to push it to ever-increasing performance, despair when races don’t go according to plan, pump your fist when you create the perfect strategy, and manage to get past Leclerc and Hamilton on the final two laps of Bahrain. The game will draw in fans who simply want to see if they can do better than real managers and obsessives that aim to tinker with the setup during each practice session. The biggest drawback of the experience is that it requires patience and time for the gamer to enjoy everything it offers. Yes, you can simply simulate everything else and engage with the races. But true joy lies in exploring all simulated aspects of Formula 1. Give F1 Manager 22 your attention and it will deliver a wonderful racing experience.
F1 Manager 2022 is an excellent look at what it takes to be a Formula 1 team principal. There is so much depth to the game, and the real-life statistics make the experience incredibly authentic. Everything about the game feels polished, from the look and feel of the cars and tracks to the in-depth look at the car data, and I can’t wait to see what new tricks the series will bring in future versions of the game.

This game really surprised me and it is for sure a must have for any F1 Fan. What I personally really adore about the game is that the complexity of the game is not super deep so it is approachable for a wider Community.
The Teams are perfectly balanced, the tracks are realistic and the whole Management System behind the Race can be done in minutes or in hours, depends on how big of a perfectionist you are.
For my part its like watching and management a real F1 race and since you can adjust the speeds (1x-16x), it takes at least 60 minutes for me to just finish the race without Qualification etc.

You get to enjoy each race in real time, with highlights of the most exciting action and commentary from Will Buxton. And that's what this game is all about - the authentic experience of driving your own stable. That's all you need. [Issue#322]
My major disappointment comes from the lack of F1 Sprint at launch. It might not be the most tactically engaging aspect of F1, but it is a major component of 3 weekends (6 from 2023). I think it could provide a really interesting challenge with players only having 1 session to work on their setup before parc ferme locks the majority of changes, something that real team principals are forced to contend with. A shame, but as a foundation F1 Manager 2022 is an incredible triumph that has me excited for the future of motorsport management.
At first glance, F1 Manager 2022 seems like the dream of any F1 fanatic with a penchant for sim games. However, it soon becomes apparent that the depth is lacking, and that the choices made have a lot less influence on the course of races that are starting to resemble each other more and more.
F1 Manager 2022 is a must-have experience if you're a F1 enthusiast. There are various inadequacies in its current state, but its future looks very bright.
Gorgeous to look at but quite shallow and full of bugs, F1 Manager 2022 needs to improve on the realism and accuracies before it can achieve pole position.
I did not expect it to be so fun. I was addicted like whole weekend and days after. Its not perfect, but its addicting as hell. Love it! What a surprise game. I choose aston marting, fired all 3 drivers and hire young talents. Play everything manually, P1 always put reserve driver, if you are clever enough, you will hunt back with 2nd driver all bonuses back. I will not spoiler you, but its doable. Slowly climbing from the bottom to the middle... excellent, really love it. Everythng. For that fun, I can close one eyes for some not so great stuffs there... but still. Is it enjoyable? Yes, very much. I have 50hrs in it and still love it.

While there is some potential here, i doubt they will realize it this, or even next year. And considering this is supposed to be a yearly release, definitely don't buy the 22 version with hopes of more.
What there is right now, is a pretty good presentation of a race simulation with some nice, unique touches like the real radio messages, and a not too bad car development section.
What ISN'T there right now are deep management systems, a functioning economy, interesting races and technical defects, any real challenge past the first couple of races and absolutely not long term (since even the worst team can easily be turned into a title contender by season 2),...
And then there are the bugs. Lapped cars suddenly stopping in the middle of the road holding up traffic, cars with broken rear wings driving super slowly around the track for ages, safety cars not following rules, in general some occasionally very weird behaviour by the driver AI, gearbox bug,...
None of them game breaking, but all adding more annoyance to an already underwhelming and shallow management game

The game is heavily 'inspired by' Motorsport Manager, but seems to have less depth. There is not much to do as far as team management is concerned, most actions feel meaningless. Most team management screens are difficult to understand and/or unappealing.
The driver AI is poor overall and they make very strange decisions. I had a driver run into the back of the same car 4 times in the same corner during the first 10 laps at Miami - he lost over a second every time, but has not learnt anything, it would seem. The events were not registered as incidents, there was no damage. Drivers overtake faster drivers thanks to DRS, when they should stay behind and go faster as a result. Then they get overtaken and the story repeats itself. The way you micro manage drivers during the race is a huge letdown; the drivers (and engineers) do not have any intelligence, experience or autonomy. If you tell your driver to use the highest engine mode, the mindless drone will follow the order until they run out of fuel. It feels like all drivers could be described with one single parameter - pace.
Race strategy does not seem to matter. Tyre compound/condition does not seem to matter.
Cars racing side by side through corners don't act like racing cars, they act like toy cars being pushed by children.
Most/all? drivers are a 'they', not sure why.
Graphics are nice. The drivers look great.
The commentary is irritating and feels fake.
The game is very shallow overall. Once you have managed 3-5 races there is nothing more that will (positively) surprise or excite you.
