In other words, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a game that’s an absolute joy to play. Exploring these worlds, slicing through enemies, customizing how Cal looks, uncovering the game’s lore: it’s all done perfectly here, in a way that should appeal to anyone, regardless of their familiarity with Star Wars itself (though being a fan probably helps). There are minor flaws, to be sure, but they’re so minor, they feel like nitpicking. In a year that’s already featured some outstanding games, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor still manages to stand out.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a game that, despite a few launch bugs and inconsistent jumps, genuinely delivers an engaging experience for fans. The level design and personalization options for both combat and character appearances are definite highlights. It’s an adventure that lets you explore new corners of the Star Wars universe while building on the foundations laid by Fallen Order and tells another excellent tale of a galaxy far, far away.
Based on the rewievs for this game it is 100% the most underated game in exsistence, the game did have bad performance early on but nothing game breaking to me. The story is really good. The characters and combat is up there as some of the best in gaming. 9.2/10
This is THE game for anyone who wants the authentic Jedi experience, exploring vast worlds while wielding the power to defeat anything that crosses your path. The satisfaction of collecting upgrades is palpable, and as you get closer to the end their importance spikes making exploration that much more enticing. Find all the Meditation Chambers as early as you can for a good time.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor does what any successful sequel should do: it expands on the foundations of the first game and does everything better. Combat is just as enjoyable and offers more options, exploration is on a whole other level, and the Metroidvania elements make for engaging puzzles and satisfying rewards. Easily one of the best Star Wars games ever made, it hands 2023 yet another crowning highlight.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a textbook example of what a sequel should be. Bigger, better and flashier than its predecessor. The action will titillate any gaming Star Wars-fan and so will the excellent (Star Wars) story. Yet the enthralling Jedi fantasy this game offers is sometimes bogged down by lackluster performance.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order built a solid foundation on which to build a sequel, and Respawn Entertainment has happily obliged. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor takes what worked in that first game and expands it significantly. It’s bigger, grander and more ambitious, with a few trade-offs.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor does so much right in continuing Cal Kestis' story, delivering the best lightsaber combat in a game to date along with some huge environments to explore. Sadly it's also launching with a bevy of technical issues and frame-rate problems that will provide the worst experience for early adopters. Players deserve better.
The fun time i had with this game has been over shadowed by the many technical and gameply faults this game has, from broken performance and optimization to lackluster and infuriating combat, a good narrative and visuals simply cant make me recommend this game wholeheartedly
Le jeu est bon :
Son histoire est extrêmement intéressante
Les mécaniques de gameplay sont agréables
Mais le jeu contient de nombreux bugs malgré les patchs qui ont déjà grandement améliorés le jeu.
The game is a great visual experience with decent, sometimes even great combat, definitely more immersive as it relies less on platforming and more on exploration (at least on Koboh), but totally falls short of expectations in terms of plot, villains characterization and planet building. The story sometimes doesn’t make sense and when it does it’s just… dull? Fallen Order, despite all its flaws, could at least rely on iconic planets and a story based **** mystery. In Survivor, well, there’s no mystery, everything is very predictable and despite what characters say in game… there’s zero sense of urgency which, you know, is a capital sin in a game set close to the apex of the Imperial age…
Promising game mechanics. Very fun traversal and combat. Boring semi open world base building gameplay. Mixed graphics performance on PS5. Sometimes looks amazing. Other times jarring. Very poorly written story and dialogue.
The game is compromised and amateurish - it's actually a marvel how every element of the game can be flawed so thoroughly. Performance issues and bugs aside, the game is hopelessly devoid of direction. There are pieces **** game here, but they don't work together (and often undermine other elements). Five combat stances for variety, but it's only cosmetic and calls the enemy design into question. Giant world to explore, but it's uninteresting and unrewarding. A home base to expand and customize, but none of it makes a difference. New characters of all species to meet and learn about, but they don't have anything interesting to say. Beloved returning characters, but their roles in the plot are boring. Big bombastic moments, but audio, visual, and animation issues undermine any impact. The game is all surface and, even worse, isn't fun. I changed the difficulty to 'easy' and pushed through to the end to see if the story ever gets better. It didn't.
It's a grab bag of game design and writing without a common foundation making everything feel purposeless. I don't know why this game needed to exist (besides money) because it has so little offer and is totally outclassed by the prior game in the series.
