  1. A solid game that surprised me with its heavy action and interesting scenery.
  2. It’s one of those rare games that you find yourself playing just to see how it turns out.
  3. Buried under the layers of poor visuals and rough control, there is indeed an engaging, playable game.

It merely writes the series' legacy of shame in slightly bolder letters.
  5. It still appears that no one actually plays these games before they're released. [June 2001, p.100]
  6. We're not laughing with you, guys, we're laughing at you.

To be honest there were so many of these Army Men games released back in the days of the PSone that it was impossible to keep track of themTo be honest there were so many of these Army Men games released back in the days of the PSone that it was impossible to keep track of them all. World War may or may not have been the first to be released on Sony’s console but it was certainly the only one I had the misfortune to play having rented it from my local video store. Put simply nothing works about this game. The graphics are horrendous, the enemy AI is non-existent and the controls are incredibly imprecise. Just avoid this one. Expand
