Bushido Blade is a classic. The sequel for this fighter is already creating waves in Japan, so it shouldn't be too long before we're embroiled in an even more sophisticated adaptation of the most horrific of activities.
This game is a definite winner and will make your blood pressure soar in excitement if you're a gamer who enjoys fighting. The realistic fighting, great graphics and entertaining story line deliver value for its price.

un juego que busca el realismo en lugar de lo buscan los otros juegos de peleas y este a compararcion de otros lo hace muy bien : D

this game was amzing It had such good swordfighting for thhe time as charles b said and not only that it just felt like what i thought games in 2010 would be like cause it was so advanced for the time to me this is one of the best games ever. I do have a couple complaints which are that some fights were annoying ause the opponent could stunlock you, the camera angles could be annoying and some times I could not understand what was going on cause of the story being unusual and crazy.

It is a wholly unique game that requires a little practice, and maybe a little patience, but is ultimately so much more rewarding than the average beat em up. I can't recommend Bushido Blade enough. Simply amazing.
Once you get used to the unique style of play, it becomes second nature as any game does.
A fighting game unlike any other, Square's classic does away with such staple fighting game features as combos and life bars, replacing them with skill-based moves like one-hit kills. [Nov 2001, p.40]
The most I can say for Bushido Blade is that, despite the fact that I bought this PSX title in mid-1998, when I was a fresh-faced young lad in my freshman year of high school, it STILL gets pulled down every few months for some more play. [Review Date: Sept 2005]
Once you get to grips with the controls and get into a close fight it can get very exciting, and finishing an opponent with a perfectly-timed parry and counterattack is really satisfying. Unfortunately, most people won't want to spend the time it takes to get into Bushido Blade.
Very good game. The first time there was kind of a realistic damage model. You could die from just one hit. You had to buy your time and strike when the other was vulnerable. Pretty nice graphics for its time too.
