  • Summary: The crime world's fastest getaway driver is back on the streets in Driver 2, the sequel to the action-packed Driver. Like its predecessor, Driver 2 is an adrenalin-fueled, high-speed car chase through the streets of four cities, where you, as Tanner, infiltrate the criminal underworld, using your driving skills as well as your cunning to disrupt their plans. All the true-to-life features of Driver; such as realistic car handling, complete with damage modeling and true, real-world physics reactions on all cars; extensive production, giving the cities an amazing realism, featuring recognizable landmarks; new features such as foot missions, dual player, and the enhanced cut scenes make this game a real adrenalin rush. 1. Nearly as enjoyable as the original. Despite all the frustration, I kept returning for more of the Wheelman's exciting life. Tanner is certainly "da man"!
  2. Everyone who liked the first game is going to love Driver 2- - the new types of missions, cities, and gameplay features, as well as a fantastic, original story, make Driver 2 a winner.

Without the thrills you got when you started playing the first game, a lot of the impact is lost - so in some ways, this isn't as good as the original.
  4. Without a decent framerate, the control suffers, and without decent control, the game becomes a LOT less fun. As it stands, this game feels more like a beta than a final, and fans of the original should just go play the first one again.

    This game is freakin' awesome!!!
  3. Critics are just complaining about the ugly graphics and the terrible framerate and then give it like 5/10 over it, I don't care about the famerate, thing is the Ps2 came around the time when this was launched I don't understand why they didn't put it on Ps2, the graphics and mechanics would've been better and no horrible framerate but I don't want it on Ps2 because I rather the graphics stay the same as the original Driver. This is one of the very good games I grew up with. The soundtrack is really good, you can exit your vehicle and highjack others but what really annoys me is that you get cops after you for getting a police vehicle and that there's no option to even turn of cops and they should've put more people driving across the streets. I used to have lots of fun with this game, vehicles are great, the places Chicago, Havana, Las Vegas and Rio I play on are good and the story is good. Maybe in terms of graphics, physics and bugs the original Driver is better, but in gameplay, missions and having fun around the city, Driver 2 is better and overall better than its predecessor. I am writing this at the time that driver 3 has hit the shops and proved to be a bigger hit although the series is big anyway ! The first game was great dispite now you know that the game has got better with the tech. we have in gamming . Driver2 has the adventage of getting out the car and walking around with a very skinny tanner which would like like he would not say boo to a goose ( its a old saying ) now he has made a come back three years after the 2nd game and we are glad to wait for this game as so far i carn't fault it ..even the loading is short and you are met by great graphics in the menu and in the game and we are getting such a great game each time the new one comes out . We have altryed to drive a bus or a car in the correct way but we al have had that rush to just hit the x button or A i think for x-box even space bar for the pc game and just drive !!! - so be good be bad be tanner .
