  1. Gone are the days when your team of choice could score a dozen goals a period, performing incredible crosses at will. Instead, EA has decided to convert its popular franchise into a more simulation-oriented game, and the results are definitely pleasing.
  2. This is the best PlayStation soccer game currently on the market. The gameplay, graphics and audio tracks are all superb.
  3. The close up celebration scenes are good but the players look a bit more blocky, that may be why the camera angle is so far out in the actual game.
  4. EA has decided to make the graphics grainier and more gritty but all this has done is make the game the worst-looking PSone FIFA game so far.
  5. To the poor souls of sports gaming without access to more powerful systems or used copies of last year's edition, "FIFA 2002" is an amusing and deep virtual prelude to the biggest sports tournament in the world.

  7. Despite the control flaws and graphic blemishes this game is a marvelous presentation of soccer, albeit slightly watered down for the masses.
  8. The gameplay feels so sluggish that, even with the speed adjustment to the max, by the time you get the hang of the thing, an Alex Ferguson-style rage may have already set in.
