  1. If you can get past the sluggish pacing and incessant overcomplication, MLB 2002 is a wonderful game.
  2. 989 Sport's MLB 2002 continues the tradition of Deja Vu with an aging foundation that is still fun to play.
  3. Almost every aspect of this series has been tweaked, from the graphics to the artificial intelligence to the TV-style presentation (new camera angles and more commentary for starters).
  4. Plagued by nagging glitches and cumbersome controls, MLB 2002 nevertheless delivers one of the better hardball experiences on the PSOne.

It comes down to whether you prefer the presentation and atmosphere of "Triple Play" to the interface and shine of MLB. Surprisingly, 989 has strengthened MLB’s baseball simulation.

It's all right, it's not too bad. Compared to triple play, it is a lot better!

The commentary is horrible. Say that a person hit a homerun last time the next time he comes up they said he flied out. What??? Its unrealistic and choppy. Full Review »

Sometimes, you hit a home run and they don't mark it as a hit, and it hurts your average. For example, one time I went 1-4 with 2 home runs. The coolest part is spring training mode; lots of fun. Full Review »
