  • Summary: MLB 2005 immerses you in the baseball experience. This year's installment features EyeToy functionality that puts your face in the game, a new Career mode that takes gamers from Class-A ball to the Fall Classic, and a deep Franchise mode that allows players to control every aspect of running a ball club from parking prices to player contracts. You can even join 32-team tournaments online and use the USB headset to bark out plays like a manager. Expand

  1. If you have a PS2, get that version. If you've got a PSX, and you absolutely must have baseball, rest assured that you can buy (or at least rent) this and have a reasonably good time.
  2. If you can play this game with your eyes closed (figuratively speaking, of course), it's not a bad game. Good timing will yield good hitting numbers and building a team can be fun.
  3. As far as gameplay is concerned, absolutely nothing has changed since last year's addition (and, quite possibly, the one before that...and the one before that). [June 2004, p.95]

This is a very entertaining game at first. Though I have yet to win a game, it has been very entertaining, that is what i thought of it at first. Now i think it is a total bitch. Hitting is near impossible, and base stealing is starting to piss me off. One recomendation would be, renting another game. Collapse

For a PSone game, it's pretty cool. Not only are the rosters updated there's the new PETCO Park, and Phillies' new crib. Just 2 problems.... NO CHECKED SWINGS!...inexcusable Pitcher fatigue is nill. You can have a starter go 13 innings before they tire On the batting side, the total control batting is great. You guess what pitch and where, and depending on your guess you cursor increases or decreases. I always sit on fastballs away. Options let you disable or enable the D.H. in either league ( Great option, I HATE the D.irty H. orseman. ) Not as pretty as Triple play, but the gameplay blows it away hands down. Enjoy the fun as Vin Scully butchers names *l* Expand
