  • Summary: Did you play cops-n-robbers as a child? Based on Fox Broadcasting's anthology TV series of high-speed pursuit highlights, World's Scariest Police Chases puts you in the driver's seat of a powerful police cruiser in 20 crime-busting missions. You'll be on the lookout for an array of illegal activity, including drunk drivers, robberies in progress and deadly shootouts. Once engaged, you'll pursue suspects through a dynamic city by taking shortcuts and using aggressive tactics as necessary to apprehend them. Two-player mode lets you roll with a partner; one handles the car while the other fires shots at fleeing vehicles. Expand

  1. This game is fun, addictive and fast-paced. It may not be entirely original, but it does hold its own in the world of PS driving sims.
  2. An entertaining, mission-based driver with hilarious commentary and fairly engrossing gameplay. This is definitely a sleeper hit for the aging PlayStation.
  3. I had high hopes for this game, and it's been pretty much exactly what I was expecting.
  4. WSPC’s physics make for distractingly wobbly, touchy handling, where oversteering due to jouncing shocks after the smallest of bumps is the norm.
  5. This game isn’t anything more than a drab "Destruction Derby" with added sirens and donuts. [Aug 2001, p.112]
  6. The graphics are really chunky and the sound effects are, at best, unobtrusive. Still, you don't necessarily play a game like this for the graphics. You play it for the hyper-cheezy commentary from Retired Sheriff John Bunnell and the modest thrill of keeping the peace.
  7. may not be the World's Worst Game, but it's still a waste of time on Thursday night. Man, why couldn't they have made "When Animals Attack" instead?
