I'm playing through the game as we speak... and at first i was having a hard time loving the game. It was hard to learn and the characters kind of pissed me off (voices mostly). but now that im about to finish one of the world levels im really beginning to enjoy it! the only real problem is the learning curve.

  1. If you like strategy games at all, let alone grand strategy variants like Generation of Chaos, then the last thing you want to be playing is a game that simply hands you victory. [May 2007, p.64]

While it's still an extraordinarily deep title on the PSP, the menu and battle systems are still extremely clunky and weakly implemented, and the lack of helpful information will easily start to fray the nerves of even the hardest strategy RPG fan.
  3. Striking a nearly perfect balance between role-playing game goodness and strategy gaming, Aedis Eclipse: Generation of Chaos might not do combat right but it’s still a worthwhile game for PSP gamers.
