This is just one of those games you can pick up and play on a whim for two minutes or two hours. The game can get quite addicting as you try to shave seconds off your delivery time while sneaking in an extra jump or a few more yards of crazy drift.
This compilation has some graphical issues, particularly with lighter details and loads of pop-ups. However, the gameplay still works wonderfully, both with single-player and the new multiplayer games.
Whilst Crazy Taxi has a number of technical issues, they don't add up to anything more than a minor inconvenience to the majestic mayhem, especially with a second player along for the ride.
A basic arcade game that we've seen many times before but it still has a certain appeal. [Nov 2007, p.83]
Fare Wars offers up the first two Dreamcast Crazy Taxi games on the PSP, though neither game has held up particularly well.
If you've played Crazy Taxi and its sequels, then you've played this new version. It controls well, looks fine, sounds good...but it's Crazy Taxi, a game that is better off remembered instead of regurgitated.
The crazy racer is now showing its age up against some strong competition, and its eccentric handling is all over the shop on PSP. [Sept 2007, p.105]
