  • Summary: Enigmo is a unique 3D puzzle game where you manipulate slides, bumpers, and other pieces to control streams of flowing liquid. Liquids (water, oil, and lava) fall from "droppers" and will bounce around the walls of a puzzle. You move and rotate the various puzzle pieces in order to divert the flow of the falling droplets so that they can reach their target. The faster you complete each level, the more bonus you will receive, the higher position in high scores table you get. Expand

Reasonably befuddling stuff. [June 2011, p.83]

The idea behind Enigmo is good, but there is too much of a hassle when it comes down to handling. The game would be perfect if played on a PC and its mouse, but on PSP and PS3 it's just another nice mini.
  3. The complexity ramps up as you're given more tools to use in your liquid logic tests, but sadly the excitement never does. [June 2011, p.111]

Enigmo is a great looking physics-based puzzle game. The “Rube Goldberg” art style are fun and inventive and remind me the crazy sceienists lab something like The Incredible Machine. The physics of how things work are interesting and surprising, but sometimes hard enough. Enigmo requires complete concentration and a long attention span to solve the puzzles. The object of the game is to manipulate various objects to control the flow of liquids (water in the beginning then adds oil and lava) from one container to another. You rotate, twist, expand, and contract different tools (tramplins, accelerators and bouncers) to divert the stream of tiny drops into the “goal” vessel. 50 mind bending levels will make your busy for hours and if you are puzzle games fan – you have to try this one. The further you progress in game the harder puzzles become and more objects to manipulate appear. However, the player is left without any help to move forward if you’re stumped. Unlike many games out there, there is no “skip” button to pass sections of the game you find too challenging. And there are no "helps" or "hints" easily available (but you can find some on youtube). Enigmo uses standart PlayStation Portable (or Dualshock3 if you play on PS3) controls using cursor buttons to precise move and analog stick for rough objects placement, they are not perfect but playable (remember this is port from touch screen to buttons device). Graphically its quite stunning for PSP – this is 3D game, and surprisingly looks awesome on PS3 HDTV screen if you run minis on PS3. Expand

  2. I've been looking on Enigmo game while ago - it was one of noticable games on OSX back in 2004. I always was impressed with it and was shocked when it finally appeared on my beloved PSP, even if its iOS port. The PSP version done very well and solid, looks great on PS3 HDTV too (you know psp minis can be run on PS3). The PSP version features 50 levels with increasing comlpexity and new menu system, sort of like in the itunes, I highly recommend Enigmo if you looking for something unusual games for your PSP and if you fan of physucs puzzles.
