An excellent puzzle title that offers mixture of simple but challenging gameplay. The multiplayer options and extra downloadable content will help to keep this game in most peoples PSPs.
  2. A one-trick pony, but it does it well. Multiplayer options are nice, but Go! Sudoku is not necessarily a party game. [Jan 2006]
  3. This is a game that really benefits from its electronic transformation – it is far superior to its paper and pen counterpart. And this is coming from a self-confessed techno-phobe.
  4. A competent package, but due to the pervasive nature of Sudoku these days, you probably don't need to spend any money to get puzzles like this.
  5. This game just doesn’t give me enough to make it worth my money.
  6. So the developers have crafted a very playable puzzle game with a decent multiplayer aspect and screwed it up with a tiny bit of bad programming. Go! Sudoku is nearly scuttled by this strange bug, which is a real shame.
  7. I'll stick to paper and pencil versions of sudoku until a cleaned-up sequel appears. [July 2006, p.82]

I've had this for years - custom backgrounds has always worked fine for me. Perhaps the issue is elsewhere. The "please wait" bug is *very* annoying, but it's still playable if you're not easily frustrated - and if you keep your battery charged up full and have it plugged in, it minimizes it. (obviously not ideal!) Collapse

The game would be awesome without all of the bugs in the software. Every 10 minutes a attention sign comes up and stop's play, custome backgrounds does not work, and I never found anyone on net to play against. Expand

Custom Backgrounds DO Work! I just found out how to get custom backgrounds to work from ubisoft's support page. Apparently there was a typo and you need to make the directory /SudokuPhotos instead of /SudokuPhoto! Expand

Though there are 1000s of puzzles, and even more to Download, the graphics are mediocre at best and, as for the sounds, I played it with the sound turned OFF. Most irritating was the "please wait" message that keeps popping up every minute or so that totally wrecks your concentration. The feature where you can "customize the backgrounds" DOES NOT WORK. This feature is advertised on the box and on the website. Tech support was useless on both of these issues - apparently, they consider changing the backgrounds a "game play" issue (?!) and could offer me no solutions or even a direction to get this solved. Unless you are a hardcore Sudoku freak I would say that this one is definately a no go. Expand

Until the bugs are fixed this product is unusable. Seeing as the "Please Wait" bug has been known for over four months now, why is the product still on the store shelves. Expand
