  1. While it is leaps and bounds better than I thought it would be, Jackass: The Game is only a solid rental.
  2. This is a video game that tries — and admirably succeeds — at being, well, "Jackass," low entertainment at its lowest.
  3. Some things were executed nicely, such as illuminating the personalities of each Jackass character and molding them perfectly into video-game form. While other things fell short of the launch ramp, namely the poor length of the game and the quick repetition of concepts within different stunts.

Jackass: The Game can be fun for a bit, but mostly because the content of the stunts is funny. Actually playing them isn't as exciting as simply seeing what happens next, which is unfortunate.
  5. In other words it’s not a terrible game, it’s just not a very good value. Either way you spin it, the game reeks with the awesome essence of Jackass.
  6. PSM Magazine
Jackass: The Game on PSP has a lot more longevity. [Nov 2007, p.86]
  7. Despite feeling a little irrelevant in 2007, Jackass: The Game does a decent job of capturing the feel of the show.
  8. Flaws and all, Jackass plays well enough, and if you're fan of the TV series, you're bound to at least get some enjoyment out of the game.
  9. The video editor is kind of a cool extra, but it’s done way better elsewhere. Too bad the controls are as painful as most of the stunts you perform otherwise this might have been a decent handheld distraction.
  10. Play Magazine
It goes without saying, but in case you're wondering: if you're not into Jackass the TV show, you're not going to care too much for the game either. [Oct 2007, p.97]

Jackass The Game is a game that is enjoyable while it lasts, but once you've completed it there isn't much reason to come back and play the title again.

I feel bad for railing on Jackass: the Game this much, as from a purely gaming perspective, it is not only playable, but at times mildly amusing and wholly enjoyable. But at the same time, as a Jackass game, it fails at replicating the experience of even just watching an episode of the show, let alone interacting with it.
  13. All the idiocy without the pain, Jackass: The Game delivers exactly what it promises: a relatively entertaining assortment of mini-games inspired by the show that only a fan could love.
  14. As a videogame, it’s far from being recommended. But as a collection piece for fans of the series, it may be worth a look.
  15. A good laugh the first time through, but there's little to no replay value other than an interesting replay editor and an impressive number of unlockables.

This may not be entirely fair, but I've already played better Jackass games. I've harpooned a buddy to my truck and dragged him around behind me in Crackdown. I've terrorized pedestrians in my underpants in San Andreas and heelflipped over your mother's head in Tony Hawk. My ideal Jackass game would be a rebranded Dead Rising. There are plenty of shopping carts, bowling balls, and golf clubs to do stupid crap with, and the main character already looks exactly like Johnny Knoxville.
  17. Jackass: The Game fails to capture what made the show so funny, and this is not for a lack of effort. It does feel like they tried to turn it into a legitimate title, but this is just not an ideal show to do it with.
  18. Games Master UK
A horrendous collection you'll never want to revisit. [Jan 2008, p.78]
  19. The premise for basing a game on one of the stupidest and, at times, funny tv shows of the last few years might seem very sound, but this has missed it's target utterly and I think this is an enormous shame and an opportunity lost.
  20. 40
Unfortunately, the stunts which are normally hilarious and cringe worthy on the show come off as dull and uninteresting in the game.
  21. The game - or string of small games connected only through common characters - is only worth dabbling in for the humor and bourgeois rock and roll attitude of it all.

Jackass the game is so hilarious, you want to play it over and over again. The special features don't hurt either.

A completely wasted opportunity on all fronts. JACKASS is a joke, that should have been given away as a freebie with the dvd release of the A completely wasted opportunity on all fronts. JACKASS is a joke, that should have been given away as a freebie with the dvd release of the JACKASS sequel. Even then, it would been tossed away instantly. How WRONG can you a game developer get it? The 'games' are pathetic, inconsequential and downright tedious, and the gameplay itself is at the level of those lcd handhelds frm the 80's- when you had only one option- to frantically push a button til something moved. Whata letdown! This is so far removed frm the spirit of the show, but then, thats what happens when geeks sitting on their fat arses in an office try to translate the gonzo JACKASS format into a platform. Even a pre-schooler could master- and get bored-with this waste of space within 15 mins. Ugh. Full Review »
