  1. Improved running controls and shorter load times, taking better advantage of the PSP’s hardware. The game still has a few technical flaws, but all in all, this is the best football experience you can get on the PSP.
  2. 80
It’s nice to see a large overhaul of last year’s game, which was somewhat clunky and full of problems, into a smoother running title.
  3. Madden NFL 07 cleans up some of the issues of its PSP predecessor, but then it tosses in a small pile of new problems to contend with.
  4. From the innovative highlight stick to the "run-to-daylight" feature, the PSP version of Madden has it all. Add in the ability to take your PS2 franchise on the go and you have the best handheld football game not only in years, but perhaps of all-time.
  5. AceGamez
It's a great game that will keep you busy for many hours across several months, offering tons of options and replay value; yet there are plenty of quirks and load time frustrations, and some things could use more optimization.
  6. Add it all up, and you've got a fantastic package that'll keep you fighting for yardage even when you're driving around in your Madden Cruiser.
  7. Official Playstation 2 Magazine UK
Better than last year's handheld Madden game, but NFL nuts will notice the return of a few niggling flaws. [Oct 2006, p.104]
  8. PSM Magazine
Last year's portable Madden chugged and sputtered like a 400 pound offensive lineman asked to run consecutive forty-yard dashes. This year, it's as smooth as Peyton Manning's throwing mechanics. [Nov. 2006, p.79]
  9. Madden on PSP this year is a much better experience than last year, but EA Tiburon has yet to provide a reason to pick it up beyond the PS2 connectivity that allows gamers to take their PS2 seasons with them on the road.
  10. Official U.S. Playstation Magazine
The same tight controls introduced by EA Tiburon in "NCAA Football" PSP--L button used with face buttons in lieu of a right analog--plus the revolutionary Lead Block feature, which allows you to take control of a fullback or offensive lineman prior to the snap, give PSP players a greatly improved football experience versus last year's debut. [Oct. 2006, p.93]
  11. For the Madden fans that want a good football game on the road, there isn't a better game available. Speeding up the franchise mode would help out tremendously, as well as programming the AI running backs to see - and hit - the hole better.
  12. 80
A very respectable entry and a much better game than last year's version, even with a few unresolved issues.
  13. Madden NFL 07 for the PSP has many of the best play updates from this year’s console versions, and despite some clunky controls, manages to be the best handheld footballer to date.
  14. PSM3 Magazine UK
The loading times are far snappier. [Feb 2007, p.78]
  15. So if you’re more inclined to pick up one of the older console versions, we’d recommend the PlayStation 2 version because its controller is probably the most user-friendly, and it has a connectivity feature with the PSP that allows you to transfer an entire season in Franchise Mode from the PS2 into your PSP.
  16. 80
You're getting just about what you'd expect from this purchase: a fun, generally working version of Madden for your handheld, impressive graphics and some nifty bonus features to boot.
  17. 80
There aren't nearly as many features as what's in the console versions, but, hey, at least what's here is stable.
  18. While I'd be lying if I said I wasn't at least a little disappointed with this year's version, Madden 07 for the PSP still does a respectable job of replicating the game of football.

Great game. Still long loading time but to be expected with a PSP. Great gameplay and awsome visuals.
