The AI doesn't feel as good as the first game, the setting and environments don't feel as menacing, and the story is definitely weaker. That isn't to say that Manhunt 2 isn't a good game, because it is.
  2. It's not as shocking as you'd expect, but Manhunt 2 still satisfies your primal instincts.
  3. Still somewhat disturbing and suitably creepy, Manhunt 2 still manages to provide a chilling good time on the PSP. With decent controls and loads of stealthy kills, it might still generate plenty of controversy anyway but more mature gamers will find this worth playing if they enjoyed the PS2/Xbox original.
  4. The gameplay isn't perfect and the gore might be a bit much for sensitive-stomached gamers, but the story, bite-sized chapters perfect for portable play, and the overall presentation makes this one of the year's best PSP offerings.

A bland third-person stealth adventure with sub-par combat and annoyingly stylized death sequences.
  6. It has slapdash controls and is riddled with gameplay issues, but the game achieves what it sets out to do: be a temporary distraction that's good for relieving a bit of tension.
  7. Controversy aside, Manhunt 2 doesn't deliver gameplay entertaining enough to justify its sophomoric sense of humour. A lack of technical polish and censored elements prevent it from being anything more than a fleeting talking point.
  8. It's hardly the pinnacle of stealth games - the enemies are dumb, and there's not much to do aside from sneaking and killing - but if you're in the mood for something creepy and horrific that'll leave you feeling a little dirty, Manhunt 2's still-shocking murders and eerie, is-it-real-or-am-I-just-insane storyline won't disappoint.
  9. The deep, twisting plot coupled with visuals that you thought you'd never see on a handheld refuse to let you go. However, when you've seen every single execution and discovered the mysteries of the plot (which should take around seven or eight hours), there isn't a lot of incentive to play through it again.
  10. In a way, the game does live up to the hype: they wanted to ban it for its gratuitous violence and I can see why. Funny how they didn't just get out and say that the game isn't worthy to be played; that would've made things much easier.
  11. It won't win any awards and aside from the absolutely terrible and very unnecessary violent content, it probably won't go down in the history books. But like the first Manhunt title, Manhunt 2 can provide a pretty good time if you can see past the hype and gross-out factor.
  12. Manhunt 2, rather hesitant in delivering its ulterior motif, is monstrously violent, extremely gory and smashingly bold when it comes to moral values. Suffered from procrastination along with other external factors, it manages to come to the spot and attract our attention, with much to yearn technically. Yet in terms of controversy, as the game intended when it started, success is the word. It is, so far, one of the most violent game in PSP lines.
  13. The truth is that you probably don't need a two-thousand word review to tell you whether or not Manhunt 2 is your thing, you should already know if the game is your cup of tea.
  14. It's a sometimes great-looking, seldom spooky copy of its original that doesn't quite live up to the media buzz.
  15. Manhunt 2, though not as original and challenging as its predecessor, is a worthy sequel but not necessarily a must-buy. It’s certainly worth renting, and rental period is sufficient enough to beat the game’s 8 to 9 hour campaign.

  1. For some reason this feels copied to Resident Evil. This was like it got copied from the first Manhunt which is 10 times better as all the blurred out and terrible screams that sound sarcastic. Full Review »
  2. Manhunt 2 is really trying to be a wild ride through a B-horrors movies and since it succeeds most of the time, fans of the genre will find a lot of references and the atmosphere of these movies. Solid graphics, gameplay and longetivity makes this game a full scale console experience on a go.
One flaw here is however that the game is taking itself too seriously, but that cannot spoil
    the fun.

  3. "Manhunt 2 : a serial killer's outlet"

Manhunt 2 for the Playstation Portable would be a great way for a true man hunter to play.
    Dating back
to it's first game for the PC and PS2 "Manhunt".I has compelled myself and many others to let their inner deviant free.Yes,the game is compelling. In fact I think most people who have played this wonderful title will agree with me.As a 16 - 17 year gaming veteran,I love this game because of the gruesome,(if you get the uncensored version) kills. On an Easy to Hard scale, this game is relatively hard .
As for the controls, they are simple and easy to remember. In the game of "Manhunt 2",you play as Dr.Daniel Lamb, finding out who you are and how you got where you are,and most of all,how you will escape and get revenge..... The game's sound quality is "top- notch" and will literally scare the crap out of you if you're alone playing this and wil make you way more aware of you surroundings.
