MotorStorm Arctic Edge delivers brutal off-road racing in the beautiful yet lethal and unpredictable setting of Alaska. With temperatures plummeting, sudden avalanches, broken ice bridges, and three different racing altitudes, Arcitc Edge is the most inhospitable environment in the franchise's history. In addition to the six vehicle classes from the original MotorStorm, two new vehicles (the Snowcat and Snow Machine) have been introduced to combat the ice, the cold and the snow. One has the power and size to blast through packed snow, while the other has the grip and pace to combat most of what the sub-zero conditions can throw at it. MotorStorm Arctic Edge is fit for single player action, online multiplayer or playing with friends; two to eight players can compete against each other wirelessly via Ad Hoc Mode on PSP. Alternatively, you can also compete via online multiplayer using Infrastructure Mode on PSP to make it to the summit of the online global leaderboards. Collapse

  1. The bottom line here is that somehow, someway, Bigbig Studios managed to create a Motorstorm game on a handheld system that stands up to the PS3 versions in almost every single way.
  2. Arctic Edge captures the MotorStorm spirit in a great little portable racer.
  3. All in all, this is a great title, not only for the PSP, but in general. Players will really enjoy all the polish that has gone into the game, the quality tracks, the different vehicles, the varied game modes, multiplayer and leaderboard support, all the unlockables, etc.
  4. Unexpectedly brilliant, then, Motorstorm: Arctic Edge is an extremely likeable addition to the Motorstorm family, which provides a hectic racing experience that will get the blood pumping through your veins.
  5. Quick and funny as the PS3 episode, and even more "cool" because of the multiplayer option (extremely rare on PSP).
  6. What really hits you while playing at MotorStorm: Arctic Edge is the intense sense of speed, and the fact that it’s all happening on a PSP! This is a fun-to-play porting game, but as such it has also some limits: both the graphics and the AI are the victims the overall sense of velocity.
  7. Concept created for the PS3 doesn’t work that good on the small PSP display. Still Motorstorm is nice racing arcade – only some things should not be made smaller. [Oct 2009]

Bought it from the store a couple of weeks back and i'm extremely pleased with it :) kudos to BigBig Studios, i can't believe Bought it from the store a couple of weeks back and i'm extremely pleased with it :) kudos to BigBig Studios, i can't believe i'm saying this, but i actually enjoyed it more than Pacific Rift..maybe the fact that the Festival events are perfect for playing on the go contributed to that feeling. Massive replayability, loads of fun(outstanding livery customization!) and every bit as good as the PS3 version, this is hands-down the best PSP game i've bought thus far. Expand

Arctic Edge is an explosive portable racer with as much lust and wildness that the console versions had. The graphics are great as well. The Arctic Edge is an explosive portable racer with as much lust and wildness that the console versions had. The graphics are great as well. The only problem is the familiarity of it all but hey, don't fix what ain't broken right? all i'm saying is that it's mostly familiar. Expand
