  1. It's just a great pinball game, with intelligent table design that manages to pack in features without losing focus. I cherished the version I had for the homebrew GP32 handheld, so the sight of it resurrected once more for the PSP is a genuine joy.
  2. Bar this niggle, Pinball Fantasies on PSP is as good as it possibly could be. At £3.99 it's definitely worth a download if you're after a commute killer. Hell, at that price, it's worth a download just for nostalgia's sake.

Genuinely entertaining play modes. [Issue#186, p.87]
  4. The quality of the original game still shines through, and thanks to some inventive controls and screen modes, Pinball Fantasies retains its position as one of the finest pinball simulators ever made.
  5. A smart conversion. [Christmas 2009, p.93]
  6. Minis are primarily designed to be fun in short blasts and for £3.99, Pinball Fantasies offer up doses of small fun to help reduce boredom on the train to work. Sure, it doesn't look particularly good nowadays and lacks longevity, but that's missing the point somewhat.
  7. Pinball is awesome - this is just a massively unsatisfying version of it. [Dec 2009, p.18]
