  • Summary: The PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER franchise has long been regarded as offering incredible realism and control, however PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER 2011 will reinvigorate the series with the most advanced set of improved gameplay additions, control options and to catch up with the evolution of the real-life soccer. Central to its total freedom of play, PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER 2011 introduces a power bar for each player that allows the user to determine the exact strength and placement of every pass and shot. Balls can now be spread absolutely anywhere with surgical precision, with long balls into space, short passes to feet, and intricate one-twos allowing the player to dictate play and control the tempo of a match. Limited physics, bad AI and identikit players aside, this is the finest on-the-go football game ever made. [Jan 2011, p.97]
  2. Dec 17, 2010
Though being inferior to its high-def counterparts, this version of Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 proves to be a worthy addition to Konami's football portfolio. If you're a fan of the franchise, this game will undoubtedly satisfy your football needs each time you'll find yourself away from your home consoles.
  3. Jan 10, 2011
A good porting of the HD experience. The main lacking feature is the database, which you can patiently update.
  4. Jan 13, 2011
A solid PSP title. Still addictive as ever, but very little has changed.
  5. Dec 17, 2010
PES 2011 for PSP is nothing more than another PES for the PSP. The gameplay is virtually unchanged, as the graphics engine. Recommended for those who, for the first time, wants to play a PES on their PSP. For the others, this chapter is in danger of being an unnecessary purchase for all those who still have fun with the edition of last year.
  6. Jan 9, 2011
The installments on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 were great this year, but the one that sticks behind is the PlayStation Portable version. The game does need a lot of improvement. Besides of that the game is fun to play.
  7. Dec 17, 2010
When buying a PES 2011 game on the PSP, a lesser quality in terms of visuals and production values, compared to the home consoles versions, is to be expected. But there's no way one should accept a lesser gameplay experience. This portable version remained stuck one year in the past.
