All of this wonderful single player and multiplayer comes polished in an aforementioned pastel graphical environment at which you can't help but smile.
The main single player does have a weak story line, but the multiplayer is a total riot.
This is undoubtedly the best Puyo title yet, giving you both old-school gameplay and new, along with well-rounded multiplayer and challenging difficulty.
Puyo Pop Fever has lots of surprises and packs a lot of features - all of them useful. It's a really good version that makes good use of the dual screen, touch screen and wireless network.
The trouble is it’s not especially outstanding either, and lacks the hook enjoyed by the likes of the Tetris or Bust-a-Move games.
While the core gameplay is fundamentally the same, Puyo Pop Fever just didn’t grab me like "Puyo Pop" on the GBA did. It’s still a good game, but there are a few other puzzlers on the DS that I think are worth your time over this one.
Despite its reputation as a Japanese classic, the real puzzle about Puyo Pop Fever is who needs it on DS?

Summary (Currently available in the UK/EU only) Play as Amitie in the Story Mode to unveil an adventurous story. Amitie will encounter characters who challenge her for a battle of Puyo. Players try to obliterate opponents by linking explosive combinations, and bombarding them with massive chain reaction combo attacks with Fever Mode.
