  • Summary: SOCOM offers fans of the multi-million selling franchise all-new single-player and wireless multiplayer gaming missions in four different Areas of Operation (AO). Players are tasked with completing 14 unique, realistic international single-player missions, including Chile, which is a unique AO only available in the PSP release. As the SEAL commander, the player is supported by an AI teammate executing traditional SOCOM team-based tactical, stealth and action gameplay. After successfully completing a level, players can replay the mission in an entirely new way through the "Instant Action" option, with different objectives, enemy and object placement. In addition, multiple players are able to form clans and take on their friends for team based high-action gameplay in SOCOM Fireteam Bravo via a Wi-Fi connection. [SCEA] Expand

  1. Far from a watered-down PS2 port, Fireteam Bravo provides a full-on FPS gaming experience on the PSP, with some multiplayer and connectivity features thrown in for good measure.
  2. Despite a couple minor complaints and a steep learning curve, Fireteam Bravo is easily the best game of its type on the PSP.
  3. The game offers hard-hitting offline and online gameplay, impressive map sizes, and a pleasantly intuitive shooter interface, all while maintaining the feel and intensity of combat that is so familiar to fans of SOCOM.
  4. If it wasn't for the stupid AI and clunky movement and weapon selecting, this would be a far better game for solo players, but online is very good and will likely reside as the top PSP online game for a long time.
  5. But make no mistake, the single-player game isn't where SOCOM excels. The gameplay is linear and basically involves moving from one checkpoint to the next, with the strategy required being fairly minimal. It's more like a prolonged training mission for the real action found in the superb multiplayer mode. [PSW]

The multiplayer experience is amazing, and the crosstalk feature adds a unique element to fans of the series.
  7. Sony has accomplished its mission. This is the best shooter yet for the PSP.

A great game that is better than Call of Duty. Great scope, great story, great graphics, every thing is pitch perfect to the max. Really good and must be bought. Expand

The frame rate is kind of avarage. But still playable and pretty interesting.
