Although it doesn’t feel as inventive as the DS installment, the core gameplay and story, spruced up presentation, multiplayer addition and subtle control improvements all mesh together as a portable romp well worth taking a gander at, especially if you’re in search of a good platform action game for your PSP.
The platforming and the special powers and the occasional boss fight all help to liven up the world, but the large majority of it is tedious and highly repetitive.

Buy if you must, Sponge fans.. other's wait for another version.
The Yellow Avenger, however, doesn't even have what it takes to appease the series' most diehard fans. It's not a disaster – just a thrill-less adventure that stars one of the world's most popular cartoon characters.
This game would be most ideal for children so young that they don't play games for their quality but for their content.
My favorite part of the game was the loading screen, whicch is an extreme close-up of SpongeBob's face pressed up against the glass as his eyes twitch back and forth. That made me smile more than once, but other than that, my overall consensus is: "ehhhhh." [Jun 2006, p.102]
There's something intrinsically tiring about having to help SpongeBob set his alarm and turn in his homework, and the platforming and puzzle solving required to fulfill these objectives isn't that noteworthy or exciting itself. With both tedious missions and tedious gameplay, it's a rather boring game.
I found this game to be very boring. It was ok graphics wise, but I just didn't like it a lot. It didn't feel like a spongebob game and it certainly didn't play like a spongebob game. I gave my copy away because this game wasn't fun. Only thing I give it credit for is graphics and sound.

The Yellow Avengers is the saddest fact in universal science and quantum **** universe is billions of years old and is still in its infancy. Carbon atoms, molecules, chemical reactions, gave us Planet Earth. Unfortunately, they were wasted in the production of the Yellow Avenger. So early in the universe history and already it has met its one sin that can never be forgiven. Entropy will come with the heat death, and there will still be Yellow Avenger discs floating space for eternity

Jesus, either you guys are just simply no fun. Or you guys are on some type of crack. SpongeBob SquarePants: The Yellow Avenger is a great game with a great story and great PSP graphics! Check it out!
