With more than forty hours of gameplay, a "versus" mode for you to battle friends, and a difficulty that is stout, Valhalla Knights 2 is one of the best buys you're likely to find on the PSP for quite some time.
Undoubtedly, there are quite a few aspects of Valhalla Knights 2 that action RPG fans will find very appealing, but it ends up being a wash when you look at the game's numerous faults. In short order these issues wear what little fun is to be had down to a dull point.
While it has several good points including a large character creation system with tons of items, armor and weapons.
With the same quest and exploration issues from the first title, as well as lots of micromanagement problems and missing information, Valhalla Knights 2 almost feels like a rehash of the original title with a brand-new coat of paint.
So once again, this fledgling series fails to impress, and while I get the idea behind the game and the mechanics that it's going for, it just feels like a lot of the elements are unnecessary and a bit too archaic for my tastes.
Even with its impressive character customization options and solid visuals, Valhalla Knights 2 falls short of being a must-own title on the PSP by a very wide margin.
While some hardcore dungeon-crawler fans might get some enjoyment out of Valhalla Knights 2, I'd rather skip the grinding and play a game where the combat accentuates my exploration of a rich, engaging world.
