Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes is outrageous. The game is uncompromisingly zany: full of smart design, fluid combat, and laugh out loud personality front to back. While some may be turned off by its low budget feel and disjointed design, those who can look past these rough edges will find a hack-and-slash so quirky that it’ll be tough not to fall in love. This title stands as a shining beacon of bold creativity and anyone who values risk-taking in games owes it to themself to give Travis Strikes Again a shot.
Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes is colorful, crazy and unpredictable, representing a perfect appetizer while we wait for an official third game in the series.

"Video games are meant to be played, not lived".
Travis Strikes again is an absolute gem of a videogame. From its presentation, the insane neon backgrounds and UI, to the fantastic music all around, to, most of all, the incredible story that narrates Goichi Suda's struggles in the development world. No game I've ever played comes closer to an autobiography than TSA.
If you care about Suda51/Kill the Past at all, buy TSA. Play TSA. Enjoy TSA. Kill your own heroes.

This game has one of the best stories I've ever seen in a video game imo. The way how we go inside the mind of Suda51 as a game dev through the lens of Travis Touchdown going into a video game is somewhat poetic and something where a self-insert is actually handled very brilliantly. Even Badman and the bosses get amazing character moments that we actually feel sympathetic for. The gameplay is also very good with how you use various chips to get through some tough enemies and bosses along with dodge rolling and platforming that doesn't feel like **** Overall, Travis Strikes Again is a great game and definitely the comeback Suda51 needed to become the brilliant game dev/director so he can make the long awaited No More Heroes III.

Travis Touchdown is back with a brand new adventure called Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes. This top-down viewed hack n' slasher mixes different kinds of game genres into a psychedelic adventure that plays out like a simple classic arcade game.
Playing Travis Strikes Again is an experience I'm glad I had, even if I wouldn't recommend it as a fun game. As a biting reflection of the ridiculousness of hardcore video game fans it's less successful than previous games, and its smaller scale makes the still-repetitive fighting even more dull. But the weirdness remains, and the Kafkaesque story of the Death Drive console paired with Suda51's signature takes on Japanese and American culture — plus the frequently enjoyable mish-mash of retro aesthetics — makes for a satisfyingly eccentric game unlike many others.
Crazy references to the pop culture and surrealistic narrative in other rare but interesting videogames made by Suda 51. Its repetitive gameplay and uninspired game design is notorious, but if you like the Suda's style, you may want to play it.
In its ten or so hours of gameplay, Travis Strikes Again throws up a messy concoction of minigames within a loose ‘main’ game that gets worse as you progress. The story is confusing and irrelevant, co-op is an afterthought and with muddy and jaggy visuals, it makes you wonder what the direction developer Grasshopper Manufacturer wanted to take with this spin-off. It’s clearly evident they didn’t know either.
The disappointment is up to the punk, idiotic and meta fun that the first two No More Heroes provided. Admiring the independent scene that has revolutionized the video game in recent years, Suda51 gives the impression of having missed the hype train with this new, painful game.
A game of beauty. Suda51 did it again with another homerun and I am more than excited for No More Heroes 3. Thank you for this incredible game

Travis Strikes Again is a game that seems unmatched in terms of creativity and uniqueness. We see so many wacky and bizarre things in this game from the intro movies to the music and to the level design as well. This game might be the best example of Suda51's signature style. However, the gameplay is a totally different story. Levels drone on for way too long and combat is way too repetitive. Since combat is the main mechanic of the game, if it's bad, it ruins the whole game. It's unfortunate that TSA had the potential to be such a cool spin off to No More Heroes but due to its flaws, it came up short. I would still recommend this to a hardcore Suda/No More Heroes fan because of the awesome style/aesthetic.

Gamers and the community seem to be fickle.
Not once was I expecting a No More Heros 3, or anything of that nature.i looked at reviews, and did my research prior to purchasing the game. As for the comment stating that Suda blackmailed anyone into buying this is absolute trash.
Welcome to the real world where a dev team of less than 100 need to see the demand so they can then decide if they want to supply.
With that being said this is a nice side story to accompany the NMH canon. The gameplay feels like a traditional NMH game, but the style used to approach the game is different. I dont think anyone who hasn't played no more heroes will be as inclined to press on through the game, or be as pleased with the games end results. I feel that it was made for those who love NMH and were needing something to fill the void. On sale this game is well worth the purchase, especially now with the announcement of NMH 3.

The good:
The music. A new Travis Touchdown game for Switch, good to see him return ...
The bad:
I wish I hadn't come back. You can tell that this was another game that they ended up changing and adapting Travis Touchdown to try to sell something. Lack of ideas. Lack of originality. Jokes that we already saw in the other previous games
What Meh:
There were YouTubers who went in for selling the idea that this was a great game, when in fact it is not that good. If you are a fan of No More Heroes, you better wait for the real No More Heroes 3 and save yourself money and disappointment

Summary Seven years have passed since the events of No More Heroes, and The Bad is determined to exact his revenge on Travis Touchdown. Just like the original cult classic, players will have to battle through multiple punk-rock levels and defeat over-the-top bosses.
