Fatal Frame 5 might be the last true Survival Horror. Its Japanese Horror to its core and has all the hall marks of the best SH games.. Visually the game is gorgeous and very amospheric. Exploring Japanese houses and creepy forests have all the right sounds and effects that really pull you in... The game runs at a smooth 60Fps which is a treat on console. One feature that took some geting use to was the camera, but once you do , damn its fun. And considering most new horror games have no combat and are basicly just walking simulator puzzle games, it hard to complain about the feature..
The game has great replayability with some of the best unlockables you can get, Fan Srrvice!!!yeah boi.. You unlock sexy outfits for the stunning woman in the game.. Which is the last great thing I will gush over, the attention to detail in the character and their animations. When your character gets wet their cloths drip and cling the their boddies. The waking and runing movement is spot on..
If you are dissapointed with modern horror , with how lazy and boring they are. If your sick of walking around looking at stuff and soving a rudementry puzzle every half hour...Then try Fatal frame , it has exploration and some puzzles. But its paced well and its brocken up with combat. Kust like the otigional and best Survival Horror games were.

Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water is going to be a tough sell for those who aren't familiar with the franchise. It's got a lot of questionable design decisions and feels like a more bare bones experience than past games of the series. But it's Fatal Frame, these games only come along in a blue moon these days, so savor them while they still exist.
Impressive visuals aside, Maiden Of Black Water is unashamedly last-gen in design. It’s creepy enough to give you sleepless nights and the story’s better than that of previous games, but you’ll have to put up with occasionally clunky controls if you want to enjoy this tale. It’s just about worth it.
Chilling ghosts and a malevolent story make the new Fatal Frame an unsettling experience.
Some horror games skillfully wield repetition as a tool, letting players grow accustomed to the familiar to set up scares both subtle and cuss-worthy. Unfortunately, Maiden of the Black Water is waterlogged with repeated environments and monotonous phantasmagorical photo sessions.
If this what Fatal Frame is now, I don't want it anymore.
I played a demo ages ago. It was great. I am writing though to say what the hell is wrong with people giving 0 scores because a bikini has been ditched. If it is that important, go on any free porn site and type in 3D. Problem solved. Seriously, zero scorss based on porn factor. Grow up you weird little freaks.

Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water ritorna sulle attuali console con qualche novità al comparto tecnico, ma senza brillare particolarmente dal punto di vista delle novità, offrendo sul piatto quello che alla fine era già stato a suo tempo un discreto survival horror.

Geister, Schreine, ostasiatische Folklore: Die Project Zero-Reihe war schon immer derart japanisch, dass der Erfolg im Westen trotz unbestreitbarer Gruselqualitäten ausblieb. Diesem Problem nimmt sich Tecmo Koei nun mit Project Zero – Priesterin des schwarzen Wassers Wii-U-exklusiv an: Das ist zwar in Setting und Thematik immer noch klassisch, schraubt aber für mehr Zugänglichkeit an den sperrigen Gameplay-Mechanismen des Survival-Horror-Genres. So teilen sich für mehr Kurzweil drei Figuren den zermürbenden Plot um Massenselbstmord und okkulte Rituale, eine Map auf dem Touchscreen weist den rechten Weg, während Checkpoints das Vorankommen im umfangreichen Horrorspiel erleichtern. Die teils chaotischen Camera-Obscura-Geisterkämpfe sind dank Wii-U-Gamepad immersiv wie nie – gruseln aber so gar nicht. Dafür versprühen die verstörende Rest-Inszenierung und das düstere Setting rund um den Todesberg Hikami subtilen wie ungewohnt hübschen Japano-Horror. Etwas schade: Der niedrige Schwierigkeitsgrad und die fast gänzlich fehlenden Rätsel.

O jogo não é de todo ruim, ele explora bem a tecnologia inexplorada do Gamepad, pra um jogo de um console fraco que é o Wii U até que está de bom tamanho, sabe aquele ditado ? "Pra quem é está bom ?" pois então é o melhor ditado pra esse jogo, não assuta, não causa bons momentos nem de terror mas pelo menos não é de todo ruim, tem uma mecânica tranquila, jogabilidade mediana e com uma história manjada.

First of all, it's nice to see that Nintendo is offering demos for these sorts of games, it's kind of cool you can buy content in episodes like the PC platform.
So, anyways, Fatal Frame is a franchise that involves you basically exploring creepy, Japanese stylized locations. Your only means of defense is a old camera that allows you to see past the veil and take pictures of spirits.
So I tried the demo.. And unfortunately I wasn't really overly impressed with the game presented. First of all, the dialog has a tendency to be really dry and boring.
Second, all of these haunted Eastern locations are starting to become really boring. I am really surprised with the popularity of ghost hunting shows in the west, someone hasn't done a modernized version of the game for the west based around the concept of ghost hunting.
Further, the controls are just really stiff and awful. Sometimes your character will just stop walking for no reason at all, which really ****. I have a brand new Wii-U and it is by no means the fault of the controller.
While using the special controller for the camera interface is a interesting idea, at the end of the day it's fairly unwieldy. It feels like just another gimmick tacked on to the game in an attempt by Nintendo to justify their awful choice in controller design.
Finally, the people complaining about the "censorship" issues are insane. The bonus clothing removed from the game in no way impacts the design or experience of the game. Not to the extent these idiots are claiming. The folks giving a zero rating on a product because of some skimpy clothing removed are sad and pathetic.
I am not sure if I will be buying any extra episodes. The Nintendo market is pretty starved for mature and horror games, but I am not that starved that I am going to buy a poorly designed, clunky game that feels like it should have come out in the PS2 era.
