This is a title that should be enjoyed in 30-minute sessions on the bus or while waiting for something, not for hours in a living room. However, saying that, the addictive qualities of the game cannot be ignored and it is a real blast, very charming, offering stacks of content.
On paper, Flowerworks is an intriguing 2D action-puzzler spin on the Pikmin aesthetic; the dialogue text even blooms onscreen letter by letter, the same way it does in Pikmin.
Flowerworks HD: Follie’s Adventure departs from a concept that's funny enough to provide a good background and its cooperative mode certainly has something worth exploring. However, the game ends up being repetitive, even on a short-term basis, with a frustrating control system and some visual and sound inconsistencies.
